Los Santos, San Andreas

Los Santos: The Los Santos Police Department would today like to take the opportunity, to issue a formal public statement about the recent incidents regarding Weazel News, Hayden Onizuka, Lola Devalera, Ophelia Key and the subsequent criminal case submission that was put forward this week by Mr. Darby Adler.
The criminal case, of which you can find here, has been responded to by Superior Court Judge Sayaka Yukimura and the submission was rejected, owing to the lack of an active civil court set-up. While we acknowledge that this neither confirms nor denies the allegations set forth by the aforementioned, it is equally important that the public acknowledges that there is absolutely no evidence of impropriety from any Los Santos Police Department employee.
In a formal capacity, it is not the policy of the Los Santos Police Department to take the sides of any individual(s) absent sufficient evidence to do so and where a violation of the San Andreas State Penal Code has taken place. However, in instances such as these, we encourage the use of our Internal Affairs department as an avenue for reporting possible cases where a person feels that we have acted incorrectly.
To date, there has not been such a filing with the Los Santos Police Department and as such, we are unable to conduct a review of the incident to try and determine whether or not we acted incorrectly in this instance.
Miss Devalera released a video statement on LifeInvader where she talks about looking for meaningful dialogue with the LSPD, asks for transparency from us and calls into question our conduct and wishes to seek an avenue to pursue this further. That avenue is filing a report with the Internal Affairs division, something that Miss Devalera and her associates will be extremely familiar with, at this point.
However, instead of going through the proper channels, Miss Devalera has seen fit to release a video statement and the only reason that we can assume for doing that, absent a real effort to get to the bottom of this situation, is that they wish to take advantage of the Los Santos Police Department's reputation and unfortunately misuse and twist a situation to farm engagement for their pages on social media.
To be clear, we take all complaints about our Officers' behavior seriously. We have a team of highly skilled and experienced investigators within the Internal Affairs Division, to deal in the facts and absolutes, where it comes to holding all of our Departmental Employees to account.
In closing, we'd like to state that the opinions of our employees on social media, do not reflect the values and ethics of the Los Santos Police Department as an organisation. Personal social media is something that every person has the right to use, within the confines of the law, and we encourage healthy dialogues between our communities when discussing all the important issues.
