  • Car Show and a party for 1st anniversary of Drift Club. We wanted to do a unique location and decided to see if this one is possible, I think this would be a more active and interesting road closure for PD. You would direct the traffic to the other side of the tunnel and let use the right side for the event and allow people to enter from one of the lanes by blocking it with a cop car.

In consideration of the granting of the road closure permit, except for the active negligence or willful misconduct of City or any of its Boards, Officers, Agents, Employees, Assigns, and Successors in Interest, the permittee undertakes and agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless City and any and all of City's Boards, Officers, Agents, Employees, Assigns, and Successors in Interest, from and against all suits and causes of actions, claims, losses, demands, and expenses, including, but not limited to, attorney's fees and costs of litigation, damage or liability of any nature whatsoever, for death or injury to any person, including permittee's employees and agents, or damage or destruction of any property of either party hereto or of third parties, arising in any manner by reason of the negligent acts, errors, omissions or willful misconduct incident to the performance of this Agreement on the part of the permittee.

  Following the review of your application by the (Assistant) Commanding Officer, we have decided that your road closure permit application meets all the relevant criteria, and has now been officially APPROVED.
  
  Please remember the guidelines that you have agreed to regarding our road closure policies, as listed within the information section. The Traffic Enforcement Division will be informed of the upcoming event, and will try to provide unit presence where possible. Remember that we are not there to act as or provide event security. Please also make a non-emergency 911 call at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event and ask for TED assistance.
  
  We will be closing off the entire tunnel, diverting all traffic to use the off-ramp towards North Rockford Drive for those heading Eastbound, and taking the off-ramp to Bay City Avenue for those heading Westbound.
