Charge(s):
So I was actually trying to be a productive citizen of society when all of a sudden deputies from the Sheriff Department stepped up to serve a warrant. I of course ask them why I am being arrested, and that is when they tell me Officer McLaughlin has put out a warrant based solely on visual identification. No one was able to describe my hair, beard, or even the clothes that I was wearing. Now I know that that officer's bodycam will not be able to identify me. In the future, law enforcement should not be able to issue a warrant based solely on visual identification because there are some people who do look alike in the city and also may have a similar voice. Without proper indentation, such as DNA, actually getting a suspect's license, or any other solid proof, visual identification should not be used to solely place a warrant on someone. Otherwise, law enforcement could place a warrant on anyone, so please.
To sum it up, Officer McLaughlin claimed that I allegedly fled from him. I am not admitting anything, but the officer's bodycam will prove that I was in fact not at the scene of the crime. From what I hear, the person McLaughlin has visually identified did have blue highlights, which I do not.
Also, for the license suspension I received as a result of a false warrant I should receive compensation from the government. This is a major inconvenience!
I, Jack Goodnight, hereby affirm that all information provided above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge, and understand that knowingly providing false information could result in additional charges and/or fines.
