- [Press Release #50] Important Bar Association Notice for Attorneys
The San Andreas Bar Association has issued a notice reminding defense attorneys that once they accept a case, they are ethically required to represent their clients promptly and diligently. Attorneys who fail to schedule or appear for bench trials without valid justification will face disciplinary action for neglecting their professional duties and compromising their clients’ right to a timely trial.

Employee of the Month
- For the month of October, Branch Administrator Hope Kant would like to recognize Luna McMillan as Employee of the Month.
Branch Administrator Hope Kant wrote: "I'd like to congratulate Luna McMillan on employee of the month for the month of October. Since returning to the branch she has shown a great passion for defense. Whether it's reaching out to clients, submitting motions on the docket, handling bench trials, client meetings, Junior Public Defense Attorney McMillan makes sure to do her best. I'm happy to see the progress she has made within the small amount of time she has been in the division, and cannot wait to see where she goes. The defense division is limited in number and Attorney McMillan is carrying the responsibility with grace. Thank you for all the work that you have done so far and continue to do."
