Hearing Request

Introduction
A hearing request can be made once a case has been activated by a judge. Generally, hearings are conducted so the judge can hear oral arguments on a particular motion that is pending a decision so that either side may argue their case as to why the judge should rule in their favor for the specified motion.

The following form may be utilized when a party of a court case has a scheduled court proceeding in which they are unable to attend. Keep in mind that while the court can be flexible in certain situations, there is under no obligation for the court to grant requests for trivial reasons.
