The first responding unit rerouted to the underground parking to investigate as additional units were tasked with questioning witnesses and securing the scene of the crime. The first responding unit entered the parking garage and found one injured individual, the later confirmed suspect, and the owner of the vehicle standing over him - seemingly speaking to the thief. Both individuals were detained with no resistance as secondary units, along with a Detective unit responding to the underground parking lot to provide assistance. After a lengthy investigation by the Detective unit, collecting witness statements, comparing calls and unit response times it was confirmed the injured thief attempted to steal a vehicle, ran to the underground parking lot, and instigated a fight - fighting the owner of the vehicle. The owner luckily overpowered the thief and managed to keep him restrained until Officers arrived. The injured thief was transported to Pillbox Medical Centre for medical attention before being taken to the Department of Corrections for processing. The detained owner was released and taken back to their vehicle after giving a final statement on the situation with no sustained injuries and the vehicle being retrieved with no damage present.
