ISSUANCE OF VERDICT - 21-12-27-AP-024

IN THE APPEALS COURT OF SAN ANDREAS

William Taylor v. Los Santos Police Department
21-12-27-AP-024
CHARGES BEING APPEALED:
GF05 - Attempted Extortion of a Government Employee
SF04 - Kidnapping

A verdict was entered in the above case on the 2nd day of May, 2022.

  • The case of 21-12-27-AP-024 - William Taylor v. Los Santos Police Department has hereby been resolved.

After hearing this trial in court, by the defence's own admittance, they attempted to extort an on duty officer of the law into providing them with food and water by claiming they had a hostage. Whether this was serious or not this officer believed it to be and thus approached this situation as if it were truly a serious situation and therefore the defendant is found guilty of this charge.

By all counts of evidence it appears that Mr. Scotts did indeed consent to what has been deemed kidnapping however only one count of evidence suggests this consent was later revoked. Prosecution did not provide concrete evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this consent was revoked and the defendant was without question guilty of this charge and so the court found the defendant not guilty.

    The case is now closed.

    • CHARGES BEING APPEALED:
GF05 - Attempted Extortion of a Government Employee - Guilty.
      SF04 - Kidnapping - Not Guilty.
