      Provide details of the incident leading up to the arrest
      • The suspect was involved in a lawful shooting/act of self defense, which we were not able to proof in it's entirety due to the involved shooter and legal gun owner having a corrupted bodycam. During the course of the investigation however, the suspect admitted to getting into a vehicle that is not his own with unknown intent.
        This was seen by the gun owner as an attempt to steal the vehicle, causing him to attempt a citizens arrest. The gun owner was subsequently run over by an unknown man with unknown affiliation to the suspect. The suspect attempted to use this moment of opportunity to start punching the gun owner, as he was downed from being run over. Upon investigation and mutual agreement, we viewed this as a case of mutual self defense and did not pursue further charges in either direction. Upon opening his vehicle, he admitted to having ammunition and marijuana seeds. He was very complient throughout the process.

      • We had conducted a 10-55 on a postal van when the driver got out of the vehicle. We saw a firearm on his hip then he got back into the vehicle. After looking at his license he did not have a valid firearms license.
