At around 0920 on Tuesday, the 5th of October a Patrol Officer of the Los Santos Police Department came across a robbery-in-progress on the Palomino Freeway. A black SUV was visibly blocking the front entrance of the store, and on first glance - it seemed as if the vehicle was just improperly parked. As the Officer approached the vehicle and the store it became more apparent that an active armed robbery was taking place and that the vehicle was used to block the view into the store. Two individuals wearing all black, one armed with a pistol - pointing it at the store clerk and the other emptying the cash register were the visible perpetrators. The Officer requested additional units as he made his way to a more favorable position to avoid being spotted.

The robbers, unfortunately, spotted the Officer as they were repositioning outside the store which made the suspects run to the SUV in an attempt to escape. The driver took off northbound on the freeway and entered the Sherriff's Department jurisdiction thereafter. A joint tactical frequency was employed due to a lack of available units - allowing the Los Santos Police Department and the Los Santos County Sherriff's Department to work together during the pursuit more effectively. The suspect continued to drive on the freeway southbound after making a full turn before merging on the Del Perro Freeway, shortly exiting the freeway to make their way onto Strawberry Avenue.

Driving from Strawberry Avenue to Davis Avenue, the suspect vehicle was intercepted by oncoming units multiple times as the gap between the lead unit and the suspect vehicle became smaller. The suspect remained in the Davis area for the rest of the pursuit, navigating tight alleyways and narrow pathways in an attempt to escape. Shortly after entering oncoming traffic and turning into an alleyway on Carson Avenue, the suspect vehicle hit a dead end.

Both suspects exited the vehicle and gave chase on foot but to no avail. Responding units were quick to assess the situation and close the alleyway down, as well as have units on the sidewalks, effectively surrounding the suspects. As Officers closed in on the suspects it became more and more apparent to the suspects that an escape was near impossible. Officers and Deputies closed in on the exact position of the suspects before overpowering them and managing to place them under arrest. The suspects sustained no injuries, and with the money being returned to the healthy store clerk by support units, the situation was concluded without major incidents.
