Traits & Motivations
Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
Born abroad, I gained dual citizenship at the age of thirty-five after many years of waiting, though this was more related to one of my parents being from the United States. I’ve long since moved on from the need to live with my parents but the citizenship has helped open doors for me as far as education and job opportunity goes. Although many years have been spent living at home (in Wales), I’ve finally made the decision to move to the States to try and continue my work as a prison officer like my father was before me. I did some schooling but primarily worked directly after schooling, achieving an A-level in Criminology.
Considering it will be my main source of incoming, the majority of my waking hours will be spent on the clock. I’d say at least twice the requested minimum on a slow week.
I would like to join the Department of Corrections largely because it is work I am familiar with. Having worked as a prison officer before, it’s a structure and system I am well acquainted with and able to fall back into with ease. Having recently moved to the area, it seemed like an obvious choice for application over other departments such as the Sherrif or downtown Police. You should hire me because I believe myself to be an experienced and hard worker with an emphasis on the ability to follow procedures and work closely with a team. I consider myself a team player and rarely end up butting heads with people when we are all working towards a common goal. If you were to hire me, you would find me to be a competent and motivated worker who is goal-focused and detail-oriented.
Very well. Perhaps it is something that has come with age, but I don’t find myself getting flustered, confused, or confounded very often if ever and I pride myself on the ability to keep a calm head and cool tempers even during tense situations.
My qualifications include a myriad of training sessions gained while working for HMPS including interpersonal relationship training, management of closed living spaces, and the basics of processing and transferring of persons by HMPS standards. I believe the traits most valuable to this work would be a level head, an even temper, and excellent attention to detail. I am easily able to keep myself organized and possess a memory capable of recanting a day’s work long enough to be recorded into Action reports once the day has concluded.

Past Experiences
I have no military experience and have never worked for law enforcement here in America, although I have worked in the prison system in England for some years if that counts.
The only agency that comes to mind is HMPS, as previously mentioned within the application. I have never worked for the government of Los Santos or San Andreas, however.
I have had to work on a team in many different instances, from a cell block operations team to a high school project related to making a functional car made primarily of wood.
I have never committed a crime and subsequently have never been convicted of one either.
Past Employment
At least 2 past employment is required
Period of employment: 06/07/1999 - 09/11/2006
Position: Prison Officer
Duties: Overseeing day-to-day activities of middling security inmates, transfer of person to and from custody, and diligent record of duty on a day-to-day basis.
Reason for leaving: Went to further my education.
Period of employment: 05/05/2010 - 16/05/2010
Position: Concierge
Duties: Interface with customers in a timely and professional manner, relay information about the prices of dental work or funeral services, digging ditches.
Reason for leaving: Turns out I wasn’t quite as prepared to work in a dentist office that offered funeral services as I might have thought, but the job was only meant to be a temporary one anyway.

/me is used to engaging other people in Roleplay by offering a description of the actions of your own character (/me reaches into their pocket, fishing out a single cigarette and placing it between their lips.) and perhaps interaction with another character if the scene calls for it. (/me would attempt to hand the cigarette off to their best friend in the whole world.)
/do is used as a descriptive prefix for information regarding a scene or development that would be readily apparent to those actively participating in whatever scene might be unfolding, though it is important to keep the contents of the emote in mind to avoid powergaming or metagaming. (/do There would be the smell of cigarette smoke lingering around their person.)
