Hello, I hope you are doing well!

On July 7th at around 9pm, Weazel News drove by an active scene involving the LSPD on Alta St. I was able to speak with Officer Grace Hunter on scene, but she could only give us a bit of information as the investigation was still ongoing. She let us know that there was an explosion, and that the suspect had already been detained. If there is any more information you could share, or any commentary, I would love to release a story to highlight the good work LSPD is doing!

On the 7th of July at around 2100 units in the area of Alta Street heard a loud explosion in their vicinity which was followed by reports of a fire in one of the apartment complexes. Two units arrived on the scene within seconds of the explosion followed by an additional 5 units mostly consisting of members of the Metropolitan Division and the Gang and Narcotics division. An undisclosed number of narcotics were seized while one individual was detained and later arrested in connection to the explosion and narcotic manufacturing. The Fire Department was quick on the response as usual and provided great assistance in evacuating the building and suppressing the fire, ultimately extinguishing it.

During the incident, a number of affiliated gang members interfered with the investigation attempting to free the suspect in custody but members of the Metropolitan Division acknowledged the notion in advance and prevented the malicious rescue. The fire was extinguished, a large number of narcotics, as well as a large number of narcotic manufacturing equipment were seized during the raid before the scene was cleared. There were no reported injuries or deaths during the dangerous explosion.
