Request Information
Detailed information of your request:

I was a witness, together with our reporter Isaac Martinson, to what was a very quick and efficient LSPD response to a shootout at Eclipse Towers.

We talked to a very nice officer which explained to us what was going on, the reason behind the building lockdown, and that they had found an incredible amount of illegal firearms in the suspect's apartment (over 20 i believe).

I was wondering if you had any more information you'd like to add, or comments regarding the incident.

Thank you.

    Thank you for contacting us.

I will give you a brief summary of the incident. The original call reported shots fired at a specific apartment. Unfortunately, two deceased individuals were found at the door of the apartment upon arrival. Officers detained 4 individuals inside the apartment, one of which was the owner, for further investigation. The owner of the apartment was found to have shot the two individuals, but it was determined that the shooting was in self defense, and they were not charged for it.

However, since the suspect was not licensed to carry a firearm, they were placed under arrest, and the apartment was searched. More illegal weapons were indeed found, and more than one property was therefore searched. Significant amounts of firearms as well as drugs were confiscated at the scene.

  • Sincerely,

    Police Sergeant II Jonathan Norton
