Judicial Branch of the San Andreas State Government

The Judicial Branch of the San Andreas State Government is pleased to announce that the appeals court has been opened. The appeals court will allow citizens of San Andreas to appeal criminal charges that are filed against them. Due to the current shortage of licensed government attorneys able to represent the citizens of Los Santos at this time any defendants seeking an appeals judgement must be prepared to self-represent. Self-representation is understood to mean that the person submitting the request for an appellate judgement must represent themselves.

It is our aim to have licensed government attorneys available to afford better representation for the citizens of Los Santos as soon as possible. The process of appealing the charges will be no small task so those seeking a judgement should consider carefully their legal options moving forward.

Below are the regulations applicable to those seeking appellate judgement:

For those cases that make it past the initial review state the defendant will be subject to a fine of 75% of original criminals fines OR a minimum of 10,000 should their case be denied after review. These fines are to compensate the court for its time, effort, and resources expended during the case.

All evidence pertaining to a case must be presented within the submission of the appeal. Evidence that is not presented within the appeal is rejected as unusable by the court.

Those submitting appeal applications are subject to additional fines or criminal charges if the review reveals additional criminal actions committed by either party in relation to the appeal submitted.

Additionally, falsifying or lying on this application is and will be a punishable offense including but not excluding a criminal charge for perjury.
Further information as well as the paperwork needed to be filed can be found on the information page found in the the Appeals Court section of our website!

Signed,

Chief Justice James Mayfeld
