For the month of May 2021, the Los Santos Police Department had its biggest off-duty event yet organized. Over sixty off-duty employees joined the Media Relations Division event organization for a very well-earned night off full of excitement in Cayo Perico. The event took place on Saturday, May 22nd at 8 PM. Aside from the obvious relaxing time on the beach, throughout the night various prizes were to be won.

The attending employees met up at 8 PM at Mission Row where they were joined by Commissioner Lewis Langley and Commissioner Samuel Osborn as well as Deputy Chief Jay Bacon and Deputy Chief Phillipe Sanchez. From there, the attending employees were taken to Los Santos International Airport by multiple busses wholeheartedly provided by Downtown Cab Company. At Los Santos International Airport chartered planes awaited to fly the employees to the sunny beaches of Cayo Perico.

  • After safely landing at Cayo Perico transport was provided by a local transport company - bringing the attending employees to the main party hub and the beach that Cayo Perico has to offer. This was the main location where the attending employees stayed throughout the night where they were able to enjoy themselves with not only a bite to eat and a drink but also the tunes of one of Los Santos' most well-known DJs, Asbjorn Schmidt. The Los Santos Emergency Medical Services largely assisted with the event with around-the-clock medical support provided by their very own Air & Rescue personnel.

As the attending employees were instructed to bring their best summer outfit to the party that they had available to them, the first sub-event of the night revolved around who had the best outfit. After careful deliberation by the team of judges that consisted of Commissioner Lewis Langley, Deputy Chief Jay Bacon, Sergeant Jessica Nash, Police Officer Joseph Couch was found to be the winner, with which he earned himself a brand new Blista Kanjo provided by Atomic Autos.

  • After this great contest, the attending employees got the time to replenish themselves with a cold drink at the bar and have a nice lay on the warm shore of Cayo Perico. Additionally, during this time the attending employees were able to get tickets for the organized raffle in which they could win themselves a brand new Dinka Jester. This was also the time for a quick, organized sightseeing trip of all the other beautiful spots the island of Cayo Perico had to offer.

The event was spearheaded by Commissioner of the State of San Andreas, Lewis Langley who had the following to say about the event:
Commissioner Lewis Langley wrote:
Socialising is important in both personal and professional capacity. Regardless of the organization type, I think a good working relationship is crucial to the success of day to day operations judging by the turn-out, I think that this event demonstrated a clear desire from all employees a key need to have more events of this type in the near future, but to also simply have a chance to blow off some steam and have more of a personable interaction with colleagues.
I would also like to extend a special thanks to Police Officer III+1 Roderick Marchisio for his time, efforts and many hours spent organizing this event. It was thoroughly enjoyed by Commissioner Osborn and myself, and I think it would be fair to say everyone who attended.

After another small intermezzo, the main event of the night was underway: the famous pub quiz. In this quiz, all attending employees were tested on their knowledge about the city of Los Santos, the Departmental structure as well as their knowledge of fellow employees in a total of thirty-five different questions. After a long battle that was met with a lot of laughter and joy a winner emerged - Police Officer Guilherme Tavares crowned himself as the summer pub quiz king winning himself a brand new electric sports car - the Hijak Khamelion! Congratulations, Tavares!

  • The final activity of the event night was spinning the raffle wheel. In total, the raffle had an outstanding total of 916 entries, 30 individual entries which would make one winner. A big spin on the wheel crowner the winner of the brand new Dinka Jester. The lucky winner? Police Officer Jeff Babatunda! After this, the attending employees had the time to enjoy some summer songs and cold drinks before being flown back to Los Santos International Airport to conclude their night.

Last but not least, we would like to take the time to thank Downtown Cab Company, the Los Santos Emergency Medical Services, and everyone that assisted the Media Relations Division to make this event an unprecedented success. We hope everyone enjoyed their time on the beaches of Cayo Perico - see you at the next one!
