I grew up in a relatively big city. I had a relatively normal childhood, parents were together etc and they always made me work in school to achieve the best grades possible. I managed to get myself into college and successfully got good qualifications however I wanted to see something knew. I managed to get a job working at a local fast food outlet to save enough money to enable me to get the bus to San Andreas. I managed to settle down in the south of the city however I've got my ambitions set elsewhere and for bigger and better things!
A reasonable amount. Obviously I'd dedicate enough to the department to enable me to live but I'd also try and balance it with socialising with my friends among other things.
I would like to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections because I would like to have the opportunity to help influence those within the city who are engaged in a life of crime to abandon that lifestyle and adopt one which is on the right side of the law. This, I hope would benefit the wider city as people would hopefully be less afraid to go about their lawful business due to the fear of being robbed or become a victim of another unpleasant crime. I'm also able to communicate effectively with people and empathize with a variety of situations that people may find themselves in. This would be beneficial for me as a corrections officer as I could more effectively deal with situations involving inmates as they would hopefully have more respect for me as an officer.
I'd say I handle stress pretty well and always aim to remain pretty calm under pressure.
One trait I have which would benefit me in this role is the ability to listen to others. This would allow me to understand inmates more effectively as if an inmate had an issue within the prison they would feel more able to come and speak to me about it which would allow for that specific issue to be dealt with. This would stop issues escalating unnecessarily and make prison life better for everyone. Another trait I have is that I can diffuse situations effectively. I've been in numerous situations during my time in the city where things have got heated and I've managed to step in and calm down both parties involved to enable us to reach a solution by which both sides were happy with. This prevented anyone from being hurt and unnecessary violence from taking place.

During my time within the city I've worked with others to help get people's cars back which have been stolen among other things.
I was arrested for a misdemeanor once, namely being reckless driving. I have learnt my lesson and have stayed out of trouble for a fair while.
