  • The San Andreas State Government is pleased to announce that we're releasing our trial program of State Rental Businesses. This is a program intended for innovative and curious individuals of the great State of San Andreas, who due to either lack of availability or economy has been unable to exercise their innovativeness. This program is not intended to generate individual profit, and neither is it intended to take an absurd amount of money from individuals who choose to utilize the business - it is simply intended for individuals to exercise their innovativeness, to potentially create a reputation for themselves and open up new doors in the city. In other words, it is a subsidiary business. Because of this, the managers of these businesses will rotate each month following an established queue.

As of right now, as this is still a trial system for the State Government, we've only opened up and funded one business - the Gas Station of Sandy Shores. Until we can establish a proper area on the Government Website, including the release of proper documentation around this program, and make sure that the program is in fact successful (with this first trial business), we will not be funding any more businesses neither opening any up.

More information on how to register into the queue, the criteria, and other miscellaneous requirements & information will be published on our website a soon as the program is out of its trial stage, hopefully by the end of January / beginning of February.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Because the State of San Andreas currently lacks competition law to regulate the anti-competition conduct of businesses through price-fixing etcetera, this also serves as a great opportunity to ensure that businesses maintain competition by ensuring competitive prices and that they don't exploit the great people of San Andreas by forcing them to purchase goods and services at inflated prices.

Through December the great people of San Andreas had to endure the majority of our gas stations increasing their prices to between $18 and $20/ liter, which was a response to the gas import prices being increased from $5 to $10. The gas station owners who increased their per liter price from $10 to $20 increased it by 100% ($10) as a response to a $5 increase in import. We felt this excessive increase was not necessary, and it took a serious toll on the economy of those recently immigrating, visiting, or moving to the State of San Andreas. Today, the import price was reduced to $7 per liter for gas station owners, so we now await to see gas prices lower once more or to see if the gas station owners have gotten comfortable with their current per liter prices.

    Thank you.
