Please provide a short biography about yourself (minimum 100 words):
Growing up in a rural area near Raleigh, North Carolina, I learned from a young age the value of hard. Growing up on a farm meant that when I wasn't practicing my multiplication and division, I was tending to animals and helping my parents grow various crops. This continued for a few years until eventually I was old enough for a real job. When I turned 18, I quit my job as a grocer and enlisted in the Coast Guard, which stationed me in Blaine County, San Andreas. In the beginning, I loved this job. I got to serve the country I loved so much and was always kept busy. Eventually however, the stress of being isolated from friends and family got to me, and my mental health began to deteriorate. A year after enlisting, at age 19, I was honorably discharged. I was then faced with a choice: Stay in San Andreas with my friends, or go back to Raleigh to see my family. I chose the former, and have lived in the Grapeseed area for about two and a half years, returning to my farming roots.

How much time and energy do you plan on dedicating towards the department in the event you are hired?
Currently I have lots of free time, and if hired I would be able to dedicate almost all of my time to the DOC.

Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 125 words)
I wish to join the SADOC because I have a passion for military and law enforcement. I have a firm believe that the justice system is necessary and important to keep the streets clean, reduce crime, and keep law-abiding citizens safe. I've seen the streets of Los Santos. The amount of crime is incredibly alarming, and I hope that I can help to fix that. In addition to this, despite seeing the good in the justice system, I also see some big problems that need addressing. I hope to help foster prison reform, even if only in a small way. I have decided that it's about time that I leave my mark on history and do something I can be proud of: serving in the Department of Corrections. I believe that my past experience sets me apart from most other candidates and that I am qualified for this job due to my character traits and life experience.

How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?
My past training and experience has trained me to work well under stress. I am used to dealing with pressure and stress and can remain calm in most cases.

What qualifications or traits do you possess that may be an asset to us (minimum 75 words)?
I believe that I have various traits that would make me a prime candidate for the SADOC. One trait I have is my ability to keep calm under pressure. In my short time with the Coast Guard, I was put through many very stressful, high-stakes situations that tested my ability to stay calm as well as my critical thinking. I am very patient at times and would be able to deal with prisoners who fail to cooperate in an appropriate manner. That being said, as much as I can be very reasonable, when a situation calls for it, I can be more serious and strict. These traits have stuck with me through the years and I believe that it could help me with a potential job with the Department of Corrections.

Yes, I served in the Coast Guard for about a year before being honorably discharged for personal issues regarding my mental health. I have seeked the help of a professional and these issues have since been resolved.

I was an intelligence specialist with the U.S. Coast Guard.

As an intelligence specialist I frequently worked in a small group of about 4 members.
