I grew up in the north of the UK born into a wealthy family that has a very successful business. My education was good and I was looking for a bright future at a young age as well as an adventure and a new path to take compared to the rest of my family just going into the family business and staying in business until retirement. My family were not too keen on my idea for moving to LS but they supported my ideas and plans for the future and wished me best of luck as well as paying for some of the expenses. So far life in LS for me has been off to a good start but the only thing i have been looking for has been work and this job might be the one for me. Since I moved to LS I have made new friends and settled down with a nice home in Paleto bay that I live in with a couple of friends. I have looked for work around the city but so far to get a sustainable job it has been pretty tough and starting to prove a challenge. I believe I should be selected for the job due to my qualifications and dedication I want to show for this job.

How much time and energy do you plan on dedicating towards the department in the event you are hired?
I have a lot of spare time and i would like work to take over that spare time so i would say i can do 18 or more hours a week and i can definitely have time to fit in lots of shifts at different times from day time shifts to night shifts. Overall I can dedicate myself a lot to the role of being a correctional officer.

Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 125 words)
A little while ago I took a tour of the prison to take a look around and see what the prison officers get up to on a day to day basis and it really intrigued me and it might just be the work that i am looking for. In terms of why you should hire me, I have a clean criminal record with no felonies but one or two misdemeanours for traffic related incidents but nothing serious and I have worked in a government job position before being the LSEMS but that did not really satisfy my taste of a job but i did learn some skills for the short time i was in the job. Back when I did a little bit of work for the family business in the UK I learnt some skills which I believe can really help me in the role of a correctional officer. I worked as a mechanic and basic security within the business and I went on training courses for special certifications such as first aid and psychological health courses. If i get this job opportunity i will give it all i have and try my hardest to be efficient and motivated to work in the department of corrections.

How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?
Depends on the situation. If things are getting out of control the best solution is to verbally try to resolve things and communicate to take care of a stressful situation and take things step by step to prevent panicking and making mistakes. Overall that is what I do for a lot of things. I plan, improve and take it step by step, and resolve any issues I have. I also think it's always good to assess a situation and the different outcomes before improvising so I can think of better solutions to problems to make everything more smoother and get the best end result. Overall I can handle stress pretty well and work quickly and that's a skill I picked up very quickly when working for the family business in the UK and for the LSEMS.

What qualifications or traits do you possess that may be an asset to us (minimum 75 words)?
I learnt a lot of skills in the LSEMS such as organisation and systematic routines for taking care of situations and on top of that i learnt a lot of skills for when i worked in the UK such as working together as a team and communicating effectively to get a job done in the best way possible and to avoid any issues or mishaps that may occur. As a correctional officer i think these set of skills for communication and coordination will come in very handy and it will make my day to day duties much smoother and effective. I have also had some experience with my pistol that I have a firearms permit for so I know the basis of self defence which will really come in handy when on a job like this. In terms of other traits my licence for cars and trucks can come in handy in case i need to drive a range of vehicles for certain situations and circumstances that the prison needs so i can come prequalified for those types of situations.

Not really just company security for the family business in the UK but it was not really law enforcement.

Have you ever worked for a government agency? If so, which one and what was your position?
Yes, i have worked for LSEMS as a trainee but it was not really my line of work when i got the job.

Do you have any previous experience working as part of a team?
Yes. Back in the UK for the family business even though it was run by my family we still had to communicate with all the staff, offices, and anyone else involved in the business. Working as a team is what built the business and when i was on the security team i had to coordinate myself with the rest of the security and staff for everyone's health and safety on the building premises.

Have you ever been convicted of a crime? If so, explain:
I have not been convicted of any felonies but i have been convicted of two traffic related misdemeanors which both were for speeding and being caught by a speed camera. Those misdemeanors are quite old now and after that I have not committed any more crimes or broke the law.
