On May 24th at 11:00, the LSPD responded to an incident surrounding a report of shots fired in the Strawberry area. At this time the only information that can be released is that a classified investigation was being conducted in the area when we were alerted to a situation of shots fired. Upon searching the area the body of a Detective was found and pronounced dead on the scene at 11:34. Pre-autopsy reports suggest the cause of death was a singular bullet to the head. The body has been identified as Detective Ryan Ghosh, his family has been notified.

We are appealing for any witnesses to come forward that may have information pertaining to this heinous crime. If you heard or saw anything in the area, contact the LSPD to provide a witness statement.

This is the first sip of the bitter cup that we must drink for the recovery of the city's moral health. Citizens of Los Santos, we ask you to remain vigilant and strong in these times. We ask for your continued support and cooperation during these times as we continue to improve the safety of our city. We will ensure justice prevails.

A service will be held in his honor on June 9th at 17:00 to celebrate the life and accomplishments of Det. Ghosh.

Today the sunrises without a beloved Detective, Detective Ghosh served the people of Los Santos with the utmost respect and integrity. With his passing, he leaves behind his child ISLA which now does not have a Blood father and or Blood Mother due to the inconsiderate people who decided to kill him because he was doing his job.
Let's not dwell on the fact that he has passed but celebrate his life he gave to all the people he has come across. He was a great man always keeping notes and learning new things and or teaching new things every day to either Civilian and or Police officers. He also had an amazing sense of humor keeping a notebook filled with saying all officers and detectives on the force would say. Here are some of the things he kept in the Notebook,

"You will make a fine detective Ghosh, and I'm proud to have seen you grow" - Captain McGreggor
"You men have been exemplary in your actions, and brave beyond all odds" - Commissioner Carter

He always kept everything so well documented it was like he was a database of knowledge and sayings. He was truly the best to work with and I feel honored that he was in the LSPD under my command. I hope all of you can say the same.
