  • PRESS RELEASE

The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department & Department of Corrections are happy to introduce the Detention and Parole Bureau to the public.

A long-lasting issue in the state of San Andreas is the high number of re-offenders. The system of rehabilitation has not worked how it should and felons did not receive the appropriate help and support in changing their lives to become respected members of society. Due to little encouragement and a lack of opportunities, many people fall back into a life of crime.

The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department is aiming to give people a second chance in life and support them on their way to becoming functioning members of society. We believe that anyone, with the right guidance and support, can facilitate the changes necessary to not only remain crime-free but provide themselves and their families with a better quality of life.

The Detention and Prole Bureau is part of the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department and is directly supervised by Executive Staff, with Sheriff John Wallace and Undersheriff Harry Payne at its top. The bureau will be lead by Captain Pierce Hardy, a law enforcement veteran with experience in many areas and a successful track record in the Los Santos Police Department's Investigations Bureau.

The Department of Corrections will be involved in this Bureau and bring their expertise and knowledge into this program. They will hold weekly meetings with parolees and ensure they are on the right track and are receiving the support they need.

The process of being granted parole involves multiple steps. The system is designed to allow those with real prospects and chances a second chance, while not wasting resources on those that abuse it.

In order to be eligible for parole, a person must currently serve time with the Department of Corrections for any crimes OTHER than these:

    Domestic Terrorism
    Murder
    Involuntary Manslaughter
    Kidnapping
    Torture
    Possessing Destructive or Explosive Devices
    Bank Robbery
    Human Trafficking
    Armed Robbery
    Assault with a deadly weapon
    Shooting from a vehicle
    Firearms trafficking
    Felony hit and run
    Felony Public endangerment

To be paroled, a request to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department will be from the DoC Handlers upon request of the offender. An employee within the DPB will then meet with the offender in prison and discuss their eligibility and terms of parole.

The Los Santos County Sheriff's Department will keep a close eye on the parolees and around the clock monitoring will be provided to ensure the general public is not at risk.

We are very excited to start this new chapter in the State of San Andreas and are looking forward to successful execution of our daily operations.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact

    Sheriff John Wallace
    Undersheriff Harry Payne
    Captain Pierce Hardy
    Warden Ren Sanchez
