Introducing Sales Tax Evasion into the Penal Code
San Andreas State Government
- As of today, the 1st of March 2020, the City of Los Santos Penal Code has been updated to include GM21 - Sales Tax Evasion (General Misdemeanor). This entry of the penal code states:-
"any person who, with or without intent to evade taxes, fails to report and pay sales tax at the time of sale, and instead of remitting it to the government, pockets it. The current sales tax in San Andreas is 5%"Failure to adhere to this law results in a $10,000 fine in addition to 30 days in jail.
Sales tax is 5% of the total sales price of the item which is calculated and deducted and must be paid at the time of sale. All items should be sold using official city services, such as the used car market lots for vehicles and realtor services for houses where the city will deduct the 5% tax from the amount you receive (( High/low end for vehicles, sell at the door for houses/properties/businesses )).
This means that the Los Santos Police Department's Investigation Bureau no longer recognizes made up contracts between two parties as legitimate when the item(s) consists of properties, businesses, houses, and/or vehicles. As mentioned, buyers and sellers should make use of realtor services for houses and car markets for vehicles.
