I am Samuel Martin and I used to live in the united kingdom. I moved to Los Santos due to having personal life issues and I wanted a fresh start. I started off with no job and I had to use a taxi to get around everywhere. I then got a job at LSEMS and got my life on track from there. I work very hard and put effort into everything I do. I have always wanted to help people out. I then got a job at the LSPD. I worked very hard in the Police Department and got to the rank of Police Officer 2. I joined many divisions and was put in a lot of work with my paperwork. I put effort into all my divisions and worked very hard. I really enjoyed it at PD but I want a small change in my career. I want to join DOC, this is still stopping crime as we have to look after the prisoners.

How much time and energy do you plan on dedicating towards the department in the event you are hired?
I plan on spending as much time on duty as I can a week. I hope to progress and will put all my effort in to show that I am dedicated.

Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 125 words)
I have past experience with being around criminals as I had to be around them while I worked at PD. I can handle them even if they start to be abusive. I'v come across all different types of inmates, some that will listen and obey what you say and some that will go against your every word to make your job harder. I know how to process prisoners in DOC and know how to communicate well over a radio. As iv been in PD I know some DOC staff already and they are easy to get along with. I have noticed that when I was on duty as a police officer there was sometimes no DOC workers so as I will be working around the same times I hope to make sure there is at least 1 DOC staff member on duty at all times, firstly to look after the inmates and secondly to take the inmates in.

How do you handle pressure or stressful situations?
I worked in PD for a few months and have been in a lot of stressful situations. In stressful situations, you have to keep calm to make sure everyone is safe. I have been in situations with lots of heavy gunfire when it's a life or death situation. Iv keep calm and made sure I am safe as well as my colleagues. Our safety is what matters the most. I take deep breaths to keep my mind clear.

What qualifications or traits do you possess that may be an asset to us (minimum 75 words)?
When I worked at PD I got certified to use the Remington, which is a shotgun. I used this shotgun daily and was available to me at all times. This shows I am responsible and am safe with firearms. I also have a medical license. This would help if a inmate was to become ill and need medical assistance before the medical staff arrived. While I worked in the Los Santos Police Department I always used the radio, this has made my communication skills really good and will have to problem communicating to other staff or inmates.

Do you have any previous military or law enforcement history? If so, elaborate:
I have worked in PD and got to Police Officer 2. I recently resigned from PD. My experience from PD will help me a lot as I can handle 10-15's and already have knowledge on how to process them in DOC. I know how to take mugshots and fingerprints but have not had a chance to take someone's DNA yet. I joined a lot of divisions in PD, this shows my dedication and what I am able to achieve.

I have never worked for a government agency.

Do you have any previous experience working as part of a team?
In PD we worked as a team in most situations especially code 1's and pursuits, we also worked as a team to improve the department.
Also, I and my friends go mining and we work as a team to do different jobs to get the best income from the job.
