Emily Whitehorse wrote:Welcome back everyone to the July addition of the SASG Newsletter! This month was truly special for many of us, with a number of interesting events taking place across the state, as well as a few pop up events by our Public Relations Team. Some citizens sought mental and physical reprieve with some much needed vacation time. This addition of the newsletter is packed with many interesting events, so be sure to give it a read. As a special reward for our readers, the first three people who email me the names of the 7+1 employees who took part with us on world chocolate will receive a 50k reward.

To start, I want to congratulate both Mr. and Ms. Throne on their marriage this month. Astrid Thorn has been a incredible asses of the Administration bureau, quickly rising the ranks and supporting our internal processes. Mr. Thorne has taken on a variety of tasks, including becoming a reserve in GSB, and has show strong commitment to the Government. I congratulate both of them on this amazing achievement in their personal lives, and wish them the best moving forward.

This month I also want to thank the many brave men and women of the Los Santos Police Department, as well as Los Santos County Sheriffs Department. Both agencies have supported the state government with a influx of calls for support, as a result of increased hostile actions against the state. Many have already been commended, and others can look forward to ribbons being issued. Your service and cooperation with the mission of the State Government is critical to a prosperous San Andreas, and your efforts individually and collectively are recognized.

Thank you all for reading. I strongly encourage everyone to review the newsletter in full and see just what's been happening in San Andreas this month. Remember to submit your responses to the challenge for the 50K reward!

God Bless.

I asked Astrid to share some words for this feature and she said, "With a heart fuller than I imagined was possible, im so happy to share that Kaelan has asked me to spend forever by his side, and of course I said yes! Through every tough time, laugh and the quiet moment he has become my home, my greatest adventure and no doubt the love of my life.. I cant wait to see where our journey takes us" ❤️
When I spoke to Kaelan about their marriage, he said "I am the happiest guy alive, I can't wait to get married to the love of my life."

A lovely day was had by all, and it was such a joy watching this beautiful couple get married.

SASG Celebrates World Chocolate Day!🍫

🍫Sharing a Sweet Treat with Our Community!🍫

Image
When deciding what SASG can do for the community this month, Director Tristan Murphy discovered that the 7th July was World Chocolate Day! What better idea than to hand out free chocolate bars to brighten everyone's day? Within 10 minutes an email was sent to Brian Stone, owner of ChudMart, because that was the obvious decision. We asked Mr Stone if we could purchase the chocolate bars from his store, he promptly replied and said he would sponsor the handout and provide the chocolate bars free of charge! What a kind gesture for the citizens of the city!

Image
Brian was excited and passionate about the idea from the get go and he deserves so much recognition for this gesture. Everyone at San Andreas State Government is extremely grateful for Mr Stone's generosity on this day.

We told all the citizens that the chocolate was a donation from ChudMart, and many left agreeing to shop there in the future, after being pleasantly surprised with the quality of chocolate that ChudMart provides, at competitive prices.

When asked if Brian would like to share any words for the newsletter, he said the two important words that everyone in the city should yell at the top of their lungs:

Brian Stone wrote: Shop ChudMart!

After packing up all of the chocolate bars, members of the government headed out, ready to hand out chocolate bars to celebrate this special day.

Many people would say "I had no idea today was World Chocolate day" or "I didn't even know this was a thing!" and they would leave surprised and happy with their chocolate bar.

Detective May Medina said "I will shop at ChudMart in the future" after trying her treat.

After getting a few suggestions from people about where we should head next, we decided to stop by the San Andreas Department of Corrections. We thought it was only right that everyone got the chance to enjoy World Chocolate Day, no matter their circumstances.

We handed out chocolate bars, had some great chats, and were pleased to see inmates smiling. It was great to be able to include everyone in the day's celebrations and spread a bit of positivity

Our World Chocolate Day celebrations took us to Stab City, where we had the pleasure of stopping by to surprise members of The Lost Motorcycle Club with some complimentary chocolate bars.

We received a warm welcome and had the opportunity to chat with members of the club, who were incredibly friendly and grateful for the treats. It was a fantastic chance to engage with the community, share a few laughs, and spread a little positivity, proving that even the smallest gestures can make someone's day a little better.

We wish everyone a very happy World Chocolate Day!
We had the most fantastic time handing out the chocolate bars, speaking with the community, and most important of all, having fun!

🍫Governor Emily Whitehorse shared some lovely words to reflect on the day🍫
Handing out chocolate to the community with many amazing staff members of SASG was a great experience with many moments I will cherish. I think many community members appreciated the personal connections we were able to build, as well as some of the funny moments we shared. I appreciate the groups that allowed us to visit them (or that we surprised with a visit) and giving us a chance to discuss World Chocolate Day as well and some feedback the state government was able to receive. I thank Hope and the Public Relations Bureau team for hosting, and look forward to the next one!

Independence Day in the city!

SASG Wishes Everyone a Very Happy 4th of July! 🎡🎆

Image
The 4th of July brought people from all over San Andreas together for a day of celebration. Throughout the day, the streets were full of citizens enjoying the occasion, with many getting into the spirit by dressing in red, white and blue and spending time with their loved ones.
Image
As it began to get dark outside, everyone gathered at the pier to watch a lovely firework display that lit up the night sky. It was a great way to end the celebrations, with a patriotic atmosphere from start to finish, and happiness all around. It was wonderful to see so many people coming together and making the most of the day.

State of San Andreas VS Solomon Cobb

Court Hearing at City Hall

Image
A first of its kind Civil Court Case took place at City Hall. Solomon Cobb had many supporters who showed up in pink Cobb-themed merchandise to support his side.

Solomon Cobb, Independent Journalist wrote:Whilst I am disappointed with the verdict of the civil case, I am rather happy with both the community support for #CobbBlog and that my felony Contempt of Court got reduced to a misdemeanour. Seeing the swarm of pink #CobbBlog branded shirts outside the courthouse and at the hearing was a great testament to how people view the media and free speech within the state.

I stand by what I've said on LifeInvader and Bleeter, I think the approach made by the SADOC of sending a Cease and Desist after getting clickbaited, and then immediately jumping to a court-ordered injunction was the wrong choice. A friendly conversation or even reaching out via email would have been more than enough for me to put their concerns at rest and open a good faith dialogue, it would have been much more preferable from my end. But, we live and we learn! I don't want to speak on behalf of the SADOC but I believe we're on good terms and there's no animosity now this situation has closed out.

The first ever civil court case was interesting and a learning experience for those involved and I think JB handled it very well. At the end of the day, I'm glad it was only a section of one video that was censored, and that the rest that's up on cobb-blog.com could remain as such!

Long live free speech!
Following the Court's ruling, confirmation was received on 18th July 2026 at 21:16 that the injunction had been fully complied with and the required timestamps had been removed from the video. With the order satisfied, the Court confirmed that the injunction is no longer in effect, bringing the matter to a close.
