Bill Breacher Promoted to Deputy Chief

LOS SANTOS, SA —
On July 5th, 2026, a significant adjustment occurred within the Los Santos Police Department's senior leadership ranks. A new appointment was made to the Staff Officer team.

Bill Breacher was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief and assigned as the Commanding Officer, Special Operations Bureau. Deputy Chief Breacher, in this role, is assigned to oversee all aspects of the Department's special operations, ranging from aerial and traffic operations to tactical. Under the umbrella of Special Operations, Breacher will continue overseeing the Air Support Division, the Traffic Enforcement Division, and the esteemed Metropolitan Division, which houses the Department's SWAT and K9 units.

Breacher is a long-serving veteran officer of the Los Santos Police Department, having started his career on April 2nd, 2021, upon his official graduation from the Los Santos Police Academy. Upon his academy graduation, Breacher enrolled in the Department's field training program, which he completed in little time, successfully completing and graduating from the program on April 21st, 2021, marking the beginning of his career as an established Los Santos Police Officer.

Over the next month, Breacher worked his assignments in patrol, progressing through the ranks, which allowed him to eventually progress to the position of senior officer, having reached the rank of Police Officer III on July 22nd, 2021. At this point in his career, Breacher decided to specialize and transferred into the Metropolitan Division's D Platoon, commonly known as LSPD SWAT, after passing their tryouts and academy on August 25th, 2021, which set in stone the path he would walk for the following years of his career.

The next years saw Breacher grow professionally and personally. While retaining his commitment to the tactical arm, he broadened his horizons and took on new opportunities and challenges within the Department through his enrollment in the supervisor training program, a program he completed within two months, which saw him promoted to Sergeant on December 28th, 2021, after which he further took on a role as Officer-in-Charge of SWAT. Breacher continued to serve the division in a command capacity and the Department in a supervisory capacity, which eventually saw him promoted to Lieutenant on February 4th, 2023.

As a Lieutenant and with vacancies becoming available, Breacher was appointed as the Assistant Commanding Officer, Metropolitan Division, on August 23rd, 2023. In this role, Breacher continued to serve while he aided his Commanding Officer and developed the Metropolitan Division further. On April 7th, 2024, Breacher was promoted to Captain within the Department and inducted into its command staff.

On June 13th, 2025, Breacher officially took the reins as the Commanding Officer, Metropolitan Division, a position in which he continued to build a strong command team and presence, developed the division and its units further, and contributed to the Department both in an operational capacity and a command capacity. Breacher continued to serve in this role until his eventual reassignment and ascension to Acting Commanding Officer, Special Operations Bureau, on May 17th, 2026, and his subsequent permanent appointment that saw him formalized as Commanding Officer, Special Operations Bureau, and promoted to Deputy Chief on July 5th, 2026.

Deputy Chief Breacher is a staple and pillar of the Department's special operations, having personally been involved in the development of the Department's multi-faceted tactical approaches, general police tactics, and pushing the envelope where special operations are concerned.

While he's not working, Breacher has an affinity for and dedicates ample time to a wide variety of pets, ranging from ferrets to cockatiels sailing the seven seas and blue-tongued skinks. When he's not spending time with his plethora of animals, Breacher can be found with extreme enthusiasm for batteries.

We congratulate Bill Breacher on his promotion and are excited for his continued leadership.
