George Hill Promoted to Deputy Chief
LOS SANTOS, SA —
On the 14th of June, 2026, a significant adjustment was made to the senior command staff of the Los Santos Police Department with the addition of a new member to the Department's upper-leadership team.
George Hill was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief and assigned as the Commanding Officer, Police Training Bureau. Deputy Chief Hill, in this role, is assigned to oversee all facets of the Department's training programs, ranging from the very beginning with the Los Santos Police Academy, to recruit training through the Field Training Division, and in-service training with the Advanced Training Division. While this role mostly assumes an administrative, behind-the-scenes stance, the importance and impact of this role and Deputy Chief Hill in it cannot be understated.
Deputy Chief Hill comes from a background and a long history of specialized duties. Hill has worked assignments in patrol, special operations, and the Detective Bureau, garnering experience in multiple specialized areas of the Department. He developed himself and his leadership and policing styles in these positions, though it is the administrative roles in which Deputy Chief Hill shone brightest and made a name for himself within the Department.
Hill is a long-term, decorated veteran officer of the Los Santos Police Department. Starting his career through his graduation from the Los Santos Police Academy's class #187 on February 13, 2021, Hill wasted no time with his enrollment in the Department's field training program, a program he completed and graduated from on March 12, 2021, marking the start of his career in patrol at the rank of Police Officer I. By April 13, 2021, Hill was promoted to Police Officer II, after which he stepped away from the Los Santos Police Department and committed to a lateral transfer to the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department.
On July 15, 2022, Hill returned to the Los Santos Police Department and took on an assignment within the Department's D Platoon, which is commonly known as LSPD SWAT. Notably, at this rank, Hill also assumed the role of field training officer, taking part in a crucial division he would later set out to lead and then oversee. Between 2022 and 2023, Hill had a brief retirement, after which he returned and swiftly made his way back to his previous ranks and roles. George continued to dedicate himself to the Department as well as the Metropolitan Division, eventually seeing promotion to SWAT Sergeant.
The next years of Hill's career saw a continued commitment to the Metropolitan Division and an eventual return to patrol, followed by a subsequent transfer into the Detective Bureau, holding an assignment within the renowned Gang and Narcotics Division. More notably, however, it was during these years that Hill assumed the role of Commanding Officer, Field Training Division on February 7, 2025, setting the tone for the next major steps in his career. In this role, Hill proved his competence, dedication, and vision and established himself as a strong contributor and leader in the areas of training and administration, which eventually led to his assignment in the role of Commanding Officer, Recruitment and Employment Division.
On April 26, 2026, Hill was reassigned as Acting Commanding Officer, Police Training Bureau. This assignment was made permanent following a successful completion of the probationary phase, which saw him formalized as the Commanding Officer and promoted to Deputy Chief on June 14 of that year.
While he's not working, Hill focuses his efforts and enjoys operating two businesses with his wife, an esteemed detective with the Department, with whom he also loves to travel and do movie nights, hopefully in the company of not only his wife, but also their cat, Oreo. Hill also enjoys the simpler things of life, like spending an evening writing a piece of code here and there, fancy cars, and playing FIFA 'with the boys'.
We congratulate George Hill on his promotion and are excited for his continued leadership.
