Letter From the Governor

Welcome to the wonderful month of June, San Andreas! Summer is officially here, and with it comes lots of sunshine, warm temperatures, and plenty of beach parties and events. This month in San Andreas, we saw several events from government partners, the return of some familiar faces, and a new import of phones for us all to experience. Looking forward, we also have P R I D E month starting, something I know many citizens are looking forward to.Emily Whitehorse wrote:
First off, I want to thank Los Santos Customs and its events team for inviting me to issue an award for Governor's Choice at their most recent event. It was wonderful to see everyone's personal vehicles on display with all the creative customisation being shown off. While I did not get to catch the name of the owner of the vehicle, I want to again congratulate them on winning the award for having a stylish yellow and black, old school muscle car.
This month, SASG hosted an on-the-spot recruitment event run by our Public Relations and Administration teams in support of the Government Security Bureau, as well as all our other bureaus. While, due to outside circumstances, we were unable to attract everyone we wanted, we were able to interview 5 people as well as bring in a reinstatement from one of our past agents. I want to thank everyone who assisted in the event, and welcome those who made it to full employment.
June brings with it a very important celebration, that being Pride Month, a time for all of our LGBTQ+ community members to express who they are and show that love can exist in many forms. The San Andreas State Government will be supporting Pride Month by sponsoring several events and decorating the building to show why pride is important in San Andreas. To readers who pay special attention to the newsletter, anyone who finds me and is wearing a rainbow bracelet will receive 10K, payable each week as a show of support for Pride Month!
Forward seeking, I have it on good authority that we have some exciting things ahead for this state. While we wish we could share more, I can say that everyone should look forward to what the months ahead bring for San Andreas.
Fame or Shame
Fame or Shame… The Auditions Continue!

The spotlight is back on, the stage lights are glowing, and the competition is heating up as Weazel Network returns with the second round of auditions for their hit talent show, Fame or Shame.
After an exciting first round filled with unforgettable performances and standout personalities, contestants are once again stepping into the spotlight hoping to prove they have what it takes to win over both the judges and the audience. With talent, confidence, and a little stage magic on display, the latest auditions have certainly given viewers plenty to talk about.
But the big question is…
Have you watched it yet? And more importantly… who is your favourite act?
Will it be the smooth, soulful sounds brought to the stage by Leo Marks or Honcho Poncho, delivering performances that have already caught the attention of viewers?
Could Empire live up to their bold claims and prove they really do have the WOW factor they promise? Their confidence has certainly set expectations high, but can they deliver when it matters most?
Or perhaps the audience has fallen for the stunning a cappella performances of Louise Hurst, whose vocals bring a completely different energy to the competition.
Each act has brought something unique to the stage, making this round of auditions one of the most varied yet. From powerful vocals to big personalities, Fame or Shame continues to showcase a diverse lineup of talent all chasing the same dream: making it to the next stage of the competition.
As the auditions continue, one thing is certain… the road to fame is getting more competitive, and not everyone will make it through.
So, who gets your vote?
Catch the latest round of auditions and join the conversation as Weazel Network’s Fame or Shame continues to search for its next breakout star.

Community Spirit
Big Heart, Low Prices, and a Proper Community Spirit
Tucked away near Chumash Pier, Brev Mart is quickly becoming more than just a place to pick up groceries – it’s a community hub with a mission. Owned and run by Dan Endo, this local store is built on a simple but powerful idea: make everyday shopping affordable while giving back to the people who need it most.
For Dan, the inspiration behind Brev Mart runs deep. Growing up in San Andreas, he witnessed firsthand how rising grocery prices put pressure on families, while large chains continued to push costs higher. Rather than accept the status quo, he decided to take action. Brev Mart was born from that determination – a store where prices stay low, quality remains high, and the focus is firmly on helping the community stretch their money further.
“I don’t aim for massive profits,” Dan explains. “I just want to help lower the cost of living here so people can have a better quality of life.” That ethos is felt throughout the store, from the carefully priced shelves to the welcoming atmosphere that greets every customer who walks through the door.

Of course, turning that vision into reality wasn’t easy. Dan admits the biggest hurdle was striking the right balance between affordability and sustainability. With supplier costs, rent, wages, and regulations all adding up, keeping prices low required relentless negotiation, smart budgeting, and plenty of long hours. “There were moments I wasn’t sure we’d make it,” he says, “but the support from the local community kept me going.” That same community now stands as the backbone of Brev Mart’s growing success. Even the name itself reflects the store’s personality. “Brev” is a word Dan uses often – and one many people use to describe him. It captures the essence of the shop: short, simple, and to the point. Brev Mart is all about quick trips, fair prices, and cutting out the unnecessary extras that often drive up costs elsewhere.
But what truly sets Brev Mart apart is its unmistakable charm. Drawing from his East End of London roots, Dan has infused the store with a warm, familiar energy. Customers aren’t just shoppers – they’re treated like neighbours. Whether it’s a cheerful “Alright, treacle?” or a friendly “How are you doing, darling?”, those small, personal touches make all the difference. It’s a place where people feel seen, welcomed, and appreciated.
In a world where grocery shopping can often feel impersonal and expensive, Brev Mart offers something refreshingly different. It’s proof that a business can thrive while staying true to its community values – keeping prices low, spirits high, and customers coming back not just for the essentials, but for the experience.
