Introduction
Welcome to the April Edition of the San Andreas State Government Newsletter!
Summer Days are on the horizon.
Summer Days are on the horizon.
Letter From the Governor

Emily Whitehorse wrote: April has come to an end, and with it, the month of May begins. This month, the San Andreas State Government began exploring a number of outreach opportunities and working with partners across departments to solve a number of complex challenges. We also celebrated several important events, and even managed to get a trade agreement for the import of the latest in smartphone technology.
Beginning with outreach, the San Andreas State Government is actively supporting citizens who have recently moved to San Andreas. This initiative began in earnest mid-April and will help members of our community coming here for the first time navigate our state and hopefully guide them towards meaningful employment. If you or someone you know is looking to learn more about the state, please send them towards City Hall, and we will be glad to assist. Newer members of our community may be eligible for a vehicle provided for free thanks to our partnership with Heavy Flow.
This month, we celebrated Earth Day for a second time this year. Departments were granted access to fully electric vehicles as well as bikes for those looking to exercise more than a green thumb. The Public Works Division also installed two new trees to decorate the environment and provide a relaxing respite from the hot summer temperatures creeping into the forecast. I thank everyone for their involvement this year and look forward to future Earth Day events.
Finally, this month, the San Andreas State Government worked with suppliers to bring new smartphones to the state, something that has been a hit with most consumers. These new phones come with excellent 5G capabilities, allowing live-streaming and access to the internationally acclaimed Bleeter app. Given that these phones now support "AirDrop", the state has also begun its introduction of the E-Citizen app. Members of the community can now actively share and store biometric data on their phones. The public can learn more at the LSPD release titled "How to Update Your ID (NR037-26ajah)"
That does it for April. I look forward to May and the beginning of the early summer each of us in San Andreas is accustomed to.
P.S. The Cayo Bridge is expected to begin renovation work this month. Be on the lookout for notifications communicated through official channels.
New Club opens its doors!:
A fresh and exciting addition to San Andreas’ nightlife and community landscape has officially arrived – Club Galaxy, a unique, non-profit event club with a mission that goes far beyond entertainment. Sponsored by the San Andreas State Government and founded by local entrepreneur Bryan Trey, Club Galaxy is redefining what it means to mix nightlife with meaningful community impact.
Bryan Trey, the visionary behind the project, set out with a clear goal: to give back. Rather than building a traditional profit-driven venue, he established Club Galaxy as a fully non-profit organisation, where every event and initiative is designed to benefit the wider community. Located on Marathon Avenue, the club has already begun attracting attention not just for its atmosphere, but for its purpose.

At the heart of Club Galaxy’s concept are its high-value raffles. Tickets are priced at $1,000 each, and every dollar generated goes directly toward funding the prize pool for future raffles. With each event, the stakes have grown, creating a cycle where community participation fuels increasingly valuable rewards. It’s a system that blends excitement with generosity—participants aren’t just playing to win; they’re contributing to something bigger.
But Club Galaxy’s ambitions don’t stop at events. The organisation has already launched Galaxy Goods, a store in Mirror Park offering essential items at reduced prices, helping make everyday living more affordable for residents. Looking ahead, plans are underway to open a low-cost gas station, further extending their mission to ease financial pressures across the city.
And the momentum is only building. A particularly rewarding raffle is rumoured to be on the horizon, promising to be the biggest yet.
As the club continues to grow, so does its team. Club Galaxy is currently recruiting bar staff and security personnel, offering competitive pay rates and a strong commitment to equal opportunity employment. The goal is simple: create opportunities for people from all walks of life while delivering a high-end experience that feels accessible to everyone.
Club Galaxy isn’t just a venue—it’s a movement. By combining entertainment, community support, and forward-thinking initiatives, it’s quickly becoming one of the most inspiring projects in San Andreas. Whether you’re attending an event, entering a raffle, or joining the team, Club Galaxy invites everyone to take part in something truly out of this world!

A Day of Opportunity
San Andreas

On April 24th, 2026, the LSEMS Job Fair brought a surge of excitement and opportunity to the community, opening its doors to aspiring emergency service professionals and curious visitors alike. The event showcased not only the life-saving work of LSEMS but also the people and pathways behind it – making it one of the most engaging recruitment drives of the year.
Each LSEMS division was out in full force, offering interactive stands and firsthand insight into their roles. Attendees had the chance to explore Air & Rescue, where rapid-response aviation support takes center stage; Public Relations (PR), the voice connecting LSEMS with the public; Advanced Medical Unit (AMU), handling high-priority and complex medical cases; and Forensics, where investigative precision meets medical expertise. The Field Training team highlighted the rigorous preparation behind every responder, while the Recruitment & Employment Division (RED) led the charge in bringing in the next generation.

What truly set the event apart was RED’s on-the-spot interview initiative. Rather than simply handing out information, they gave attendees the chance to step directly into the hiring process. The result? Immediate success – three new Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) were hired right there on the day, marking a significant win for both the organisation and the individuals who seized the opportunity.
Adding to the excitement was a free raffle that kept the crowd buzzing throughout the event. With two major prizes up for grabs – a Scout vehicle and a $100,000 cash reward – anticipation ran high. The lucky winners walked away not just with prizes, but with unforgettable memories from an already standout day.

Beyond recruitment, the job fair succeeded in strengthening community connections. Visitors left with a deeper understanding of the vital work LSEMS performs and the many ways they can get involved, whether through a career path or community support.
All in all, the LSEMS Job Fair 2026 proved to be more than just an event – it was a gateway. With new hires already joining the ranks and countless others inspired, the future of LSEMS looks stronger than ever.

SASG Employee of the Month: April
Each month, the San Andreas State Government takes pride in recognising an exceptional employee who demonstrates outstanding dedication and commitment to public service. This prestigious honour is awarded to the individual who consistently goes above and beyond, setting a standard of excellence that inspires colleagues across all Bureaus. The awardee represents the core values and professionalism that drive our government forward, reflecting the quality of service our community deserves.
Employee of the Month - April 2026

Mick Wegman - #26871
SASG Employee of the Month: Continued
Mick Wegman has been named Employee of the Month for April, a well-deserved recognition of the dedication and impact he brings to his work. As a valued member of both SAAA and BPB, Mick consistently goes above and beyond, balancing responsibilities across both bureaus with professionalism and care. His contributions not only support day-to-day operations but also strengthen collaboration and morale across teams. Recently, Mick has made an impact across all bureaus by creating a form generator for both the public and staff, transforming what used to be a tedious process into something far more efficient and user-friendly. It’s innovations like this that make a lasting difference. Congratulations, Mick, we’re all proud of your achievements and grateful for everything you do! If you see him around, be sure to congratulate him personally and celebrate his success. Great job, Mick!

Director Jeremy Williams wrote: Mick has been a very valuable member of the team since joining in February of last year. He has been a workhorse, consistently going above and beyond to develop and streamline guides and processes. His contributions have played an important role in some upcoming changes aimed at making aviation safer and more enjoyable. Without these efforts, SAAA would not be the place it is.
He has even worked outside of SAAA helping to create a public generator for many commonly used government forms, greatly benefiting the citizens of Los Santos. I'm pleased to see Mick receiving the recognition he deserves!

Department Secretary Ren Sanchez wrote:
Mick Wegman has been a staple in BPB for more than just the past month. He is someone who always goes the extra mile. If there is a project that needs completing, an area within BPB that could be more efficient, or someone who needs help navigating a process, Mick is there to help wherever he can. His hard work and dedication not only to BPB but also to SAAA make him more than deserving of this award! I cannot wait to see what he continues to accomplish in the state government!

Jeremy joined SASG in January 2025 following some encouragement and support from a previous administrator and he has certainly hit the ground running. Jeremy began collarborating with his co-workers to create and work on improvements to ensure the bureau could become what it is today. By April 2025, Jeremy was given a wonderful opportunity to prove himself in a command role. Jeremy would like to give thanks to Scottie Cross for his mentorship and encouragement, inspiring Jeremy to develop and release the training and licencing for Fixed Wing Aircraft which offers further opportunities for our citizens to take to the skies of Los Santos. Here’s some more facts about Jeremy to get to know him on a more personal level:

Scottie first joined SAAA when he was introduced to the previous director, Gordon Graves, who took Scottie under his wing. Scottie also spent a brief service within GSB, but his true calling was teaching people to be able to fly. He feels that there is no better feeling than witnessing someone experience their first flight. After years of denials, Scottie was finally begged to accept the position and has served in his predecessor’s stead very well ever since! Here’s some more facts about Scottie to get to know him on a more personal level:

Abdullah had spent a long time working alongside current and previous government employees. With these interactions, he came to learn more about the government and the different bureaus involved and in October 2025, Abdullah decided he no longer wanted to stand by on the sidelines. He felt it was his time to become part of this. Starting out as intern, Abdullah worked hard and has passed on the knowledge and opportunities provided to him, and after winning EOTM in December, he has recently been promoted to work as SAAA’s Executive Official. He began working at Burgershot and Bayview, where he has gained respect from his fellow mechanics as well as a lot of self-discipline.
