The SADOC Announces a New Warden
On the 07th April 2026, The San Andreas Department of Corrections (SADOC) announces that Marc Ericsson will take over as Warden of Bolingbroke Penitentiary. Warden Ericsson takes the reins from Police Commissioner and Former Warden Elena Flores.

Warden Ericsson has spent quite a few years here at The SADOC, originally starting his career as a Correctional Trainee in 2021 rising up to the rank of Captain within the same year. Shortly thereafter, Marc made the decision to leave the department, a move that greatly showed the impact he had on the staff. In January 2025, Marc made the decision to rejoin the department. This move to come back to the department lifted up the spirits of those who had previously worked with him and excited those who hadn't had the opportunity nor the privilege of doing so.
Marc Ericsson wrote:
I am honored to be selected as Warden and I want to thank Legal Services for having the confidence in me to take on this role. I look forward to continuing my work alongside Chief Deputy Warden Coot and Jemima and the rest of the command team as we push further improvements within the department.

I have served at DOC through two different stints, and I can say that since returning in January 2025, I have enjoyed every single day that I have been back. That is entirely because of the officers that are within the department, as they make it enjoyable. My main goal is to ensure they continue to find enjoyment in the work they do while also creating a more engaging and positive environment for the inmates during their time in DOC. We are already in the process of creating some community service activities for inmates and we plan to continue working on that to give inmates more to do when they display good behavior.

Again, I thank Legal Services for having the confidence in me and I look forward to what's to come in this new role.
Police Commissioner Elena Flores joined SADOC in December 2025 as Interim Warden and has since led the Department of Corrections through a complete overhaul. She was welcomed with open arms and has served with respect, integrity, and honor. The San Andreas Department of Corrections extends a warm thank you to Commissioner Flores for her dedication and commitment during her time as Warden.
Elena Flores wrote:
My experience with the San Andreas Department of Corrections is one that will stay with me for the foreseeable future. It is not every day that you decide on retirement, and mere weeks later, the State is itching to pull you out of it, handing you a project in which you need to find, address, and fix stress points and issues in a Department, after an entire leadership team resigns from their posts, while simultaneously respecting the legacy of both that Department, its employees, and its previous leadership teams.

Having come from a highly political environment and career, I know for a fact that the command staff and general staff of SADOC welcomed my arrival much more warmly than I ever could have, given the circumstances. Not only did they give my staff and me a very warm welcome, but they were also incredibly willing to assist us, and seemed to generally be excited by our presence, even if only with the end goal in mind.

During this time, I have worked closely with the Department's executive staff, which in recent months also welcomed Warden Ericsson into its ranks. While his initial appointment as Associate Warden was at least halfway into my tenure, it was one discussed with Legal Services at large months prior, given his long-standing commitment to the Department. When the interviews for wardenship were conducted, it was a decision that both came easily and also with great difficulty.

Chief Deputy Wardens Jimmithy Jemima and Bradley Coot bleed green in the sense that they encompass everything that SADOC stands for, have remained steadfast and committed through periods of ease and difficulty, and continue to develop the Department from within. While Legal Service ultimately selected Warden Ericsson as the next Warden, their commitment cannot and should not be understated; the Department of Corrections would not be where it is today if it were not for them.

Warden Ericsson is a pioneer, is willing to jump at any opportunity to aid (or rather lead, now) any development to the Department, puts his Department and his people first, and has also, during my tenure, singlehandedly brought the Department's recordkeeping and human resourcing systems into the modern age. To that end, I believe that Warden Ericsson ticks all boxes where I am concerned, as he is compassionate, dedicated, innovative, and a workhorse.

I have full faith in Warden Ericsson and his team, and I am excited to see how the Department evolves under their leadership.
The search for Warden may be over, however, the changes to The SADOC are not yet over. Warden Marc Ericsson is already making waves and is actively pursing to make new changes to the department. We would like to congratulate Warden Ericsson on his promotion to Warden and we cannot wait to see what changes he brings to the department.
