IMMEDIATE RELEASE
April 7th, 2026
Appointment of New Warden for San Andreas Department of Corrections
City Hall, Los Santos, SA —
The San Andreas State Government can now announce the appointment of Marc Ericsson to the position of Warden of Bolingbroke Penitentiary and the San Andreas Department of Corrections, following a successful application process and the end of tenure for Police Commissioner Elena Flores.
This move comes after Police Commissioner Flores stepped in as Interim Warden between December 2025 and April 2026, helping to secure the future of the San Andreas Department of Corrections alongside her team whilst the process to find a full-time Warden was undertaken. Police Commissioner Flores served with a level of tenacity and professionalism that only she could command, and the respect garnered from long-standing members of the San Andreas Department of Corrections knew no bounds. Under Police Commissioner Flores' leadership, the San Andreas Department of Corrections navigated huge challenges and changes to the prison system where many others would have faltered, and they came out on the other side on top.
"My stint with the Department of Corrections was, in the big picture, relatively short, as the goals and requests set forth by the Department of Legal Services were completed within the agreed-upon three-month term. During this time, I have gotten to know and work with the Department's command and executive staff, who, given the circumstances, were very welcoming, receptive, and open to working alongside and with me to achieve our goals.
My experience with Warden Ericsson extends beyond his current tenure with the Department of Corrections and dates back to his earlier days within the State Government and his eventual rise to Chief of Operations for the State. In my time with SADOC, Warden Ericsson has struck me as an individual who holds great care, passion, and dedication for the Department, its personnel, and their development, as well as its processes.
The process of selecting the next Warden was difficult, given that the Department is close-knit and the team of candidates largely consists of a group of equally passionate, caring, and dedicated individuals who have dedicated their entire careers to the Department of Corrections.
Nevertheless, I have full faith that Warden Ericsson and his team will bring the Department into a brighter future. "

"I am honored to be selected as Warden and I want to thank Legal Services for having the confidence in me to take on this role. I look forward to continuing my work alongside Chief Deputy Warden Coot and Jemima and the rest of the command team as we push further improvements within the department.
I have served at DOC through two different stints, and I can say that since returning in January 2025, I have enjoyed every single day that I have been back. That is entirely because of the officers that are within the department, as they make it enjoyable. My main goal is to ensure they continue to find enjoyment in the work they do while also creating a more engaging and positive environment for the inmates during their time in DOC. Again, I thank Legal Services for having the confidence in me and I look forward to what's to come in this new role."
