At 21:00 on February 15th, the Government Security Bureau, alongside CERT, SEB, and METRO operatives, conducted a small-scale operation codenamed Iron Gavel to protect civilians and employees of the San Andreas State Government and the Judicial Branch. This operation coincided with the trial of #25-BT-0131 State of San Andreas v. Lewis Langley.

The operation was organized and led by Security Director Murphy, Security Deputy Director Whitaker, Security Deputy Director Thorne, Special Agent Ravenhill, and Lead Agent Deveel. K9 and OSU-certified personnel were also deployed to provide on-the-ground and rooftop support. In addition to GSB personnel, CERT and SEB operatives performed various roles, including crowd control, air support, and METRO in areas requiring additional manpower.

Lead Agent Deveel wrote:We would like to thank all departments involved in the successfully executed operation; their support and cooperation greatly contributed to preventing any major incidents.

Despite an attempted incursion by an external group, the situation was contained through swift coordination across departments. The measured response ensured all citizens present and observing the trial remained safe.

The collaboration among multiple departments was vital to maintaining public safety and ensuring an orderly conclusion to the proceedings. We'd like to thank all personnel involved for their commitment and professionalism during this Operation.

GSB would like to show its gratitude to the Department of Corrections, the Los Santos County Sheriff's Department, and the Los Santos Police Department for their involvement in ensuring the operation's success, and would extend special thanks to Lieutenant Taylor, Commander Lafleur, and Sergeant Bloomfield for leading their respective department personnel.

The San Andreas State Government and the Government Security Bureau congratulate Arcus Thorne on his promotion to Security Deputy Director. Since joining the bureau in November 2024, Arcus has been an exemplary member of GSB, upholding the bureau's values and code of conduct through his work. Arcus is now stepping up to lead GSB's special operations sector and will oversee the C.A.T., SIU, and K9 units within the bureau.

Security Deputy Director Thorne wrote: Honestly, this is a role I didn't expect when I was first sworn into the GSB.

I don't for one moment think I could have made it here without the people who guided, taught, and challenged me along the way. This list is not small and likely includes some names you wouldn't expect. It spans several agencies and several walks of life, and here in GOV, from Junior Agents to our Governor. This role is an opportunity to serve thoughtfully, lead with intention, and contribute in ways that strengthen both the present and the future of the GSB.

Security Director Murphy wrote:I am pleased to announce the promotion of Arcus Thorne to Deputy Director of the Government Security Bureau. Arcus has consistently demonstrated the professionalism, composure, and reliability that this role demands. In high-pressure situations, administrative projects, and his leadership in training and intelligence, he has repeatedly shown the ability to lead effectively and deliver results. His commitment to GSB, strong communication, and willingness to step in wherever needed make him exceptionally well-suited to help guide the bureau forward. I have full confidence in his ability to serve in this position and to continue strengthening GSB in the months ahead.

With this new appointment, GSB continues to place trust in its experienced leaders to guide its specialized operational units and support its personnel. As GSB enters this new chapter of leadership, the San Andreas State Government anticipates that Deputy Director Thorne will continue to contribute to the bureau and maintain the professionalism and dedication he has shown throughout his tenure with the department.
