Strengthening partnerships. Saving lives. Building lasting friendships.

Operation Shielded Heart continues to stand as a shining example of what can be achieved when agencies work together with trust, respect, and a shared mission. As we move through 2026, the Government Security Bureau remain fully committed to supporting LSEMS, building upon the incredible success seen throughout last year.
What began as a coordinated operational effort has grown into a strong partnership rooted in professionalism and mutual understanding. The successes of last year have not only improved operational outcomes but have also fostered genuine friendships between GSB agents and LSEMS personnel. These relationships have strengthened communication, improved response efficiency, and reinforced a shared dedication to protecting and saving lives.
The Public Relations Bureau have been proud to take a hands-on role throughout Operation Shielded Heart. Riding along with GSB has allowed our team to experience the operation firsthand, gaining a deeper appreciation for the coordination and trust between agents and LSEMS. Watching these teams work seamlessly together, carrying out their duty to save lives, is something that truly never gets old. The respect and camaraderie on display is a testament to the strength of this partnership.

We sat down with Security Director Tristan Murphy, who had this to say about the operation:

Security Director Tristan Murphy wrote:From the GSB perspective, the past six months have been about showing up as reliable and dependable partners,” said Tristan Murphy, Director of the Government Security Bureau. “SASG and GSB have approached this operation with the intent to support, listen, and work alongside every government agency involved. I want to sincerely thank the LSEMS High Command for working with us to make this effort a reality, as well as the medics who embraced this joint operation and welcomed our personnel into Pillbox every day. I also extend my appreciation to our partners at LSPD, LSSD, and SADOC, who have worked beside us on countless scenes alongside MD, united by our shared commitment to public safety, service, integrity, and teamwork. These collective efforts reflect what it truly means to protect and serve the people we are entrusted with.
We also caught up with Paramedic Milan Sterling, who shared his thoughts on the operation:

Paramedic Milan Sterling wrote:Operation Shielded Heart has been paramount at protecting and assisting LSEMS as required. Their service is not one we can truly repay with words, and their actions in saving the lives of so many medics, myself included on a number of occasions, throughout their tenure will not be soon forgotten. I hope it is a partnership that continues to prosper for the good of LSEMS and the wider community.

As always, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to both the Government Security Bureau and LSEMS for allowing us to write about Operation Shielded Heart. We genuinely enjoyed the time spent with you all while putting this piece together and observing the operation in action, from the behind the scenes coordination to the moments where teamwork truly shines under pressure. Being welcomed into this environment gave us a deeper appreciation for the dedication, professionalism, and care that each individual brings to every call.
This operation is a clear reflection of what can be accomplished when agencies trust one another and work toward a shared goal. We look forward to a continued future of cooperation, collaboration, and growth, and we cannot wait to see how Operation Shielded Heart continues to evolve, strengthen partnerships, and set the standard for interagency operations moving forward.
