Los Santos: On January 17th, 2026, late into the evening, the Los Santos Police Department conducted a special police operation, aided by multiple emergency services organizations, following a long-term investigation by the Detective Bureau's Gang and Narcotics Division and the San Andreas State Government, aimed at apprehending former-Governor Lewis Langley.
Planned by the Metropolitan Division's D Platoon (SWAT), the Gang and Narcotics Division, and the San Andreas State Government, the operation was scheduled based on the general pattern of Langley's appearances throughout the State. As a person who frequently attends public events, intelligence led investigators to believe that he was likely to make a public appearance over the weekend.
Tactical strike teams were formed and assigned, while investigators of the Gang and Narcotics Division conducted surveillance, eventually locating Langley and two other targets designated as primary between West Eclipse Boulevard and Bay City Incline. Undercover officers mingled with the crowd and eventually confirmed Langley's identity, after which the tactical strike teams of METRO SWAT conducted a fast-paced snatch and grab, extracting Langley and two unnamed targets from the event site and transporting them to the state prison, Bolingbroke Penitentiary, which was already on high alert, with the Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Goverment Security Bureau preparing for potential attempts to free Langley, who was known to affiliate himself with well-armed, aggressive gangs.
LSPD METRO and LSPD GANGS were able to extract Langley and his associates and transport them to the state prison without incident. Lewis Langley was arrested on the following charges:
