Recognizing Leadership and Service within the Department of Corrections

Los Santos: On the 13th of December 2025, the Los Santos Police Department was shocked and saddened to learn of the high-profile resignations of Warden Kourtney LaFleur, Deputy Warden Katie Schneider and Deputy Warden Issei Schneider.

The Department of Corrections, under the stewardship of Warden LaFleur, was for the most part a pleasant and professional sister Department and Warden LaFleur, on a personal level, was always receptive and engaging on matters with the Los Santos Police Department. The Department of Corrections has had somewhat of a turbulent history but from the outset, she along with Deputy Wardens Katie Schneider and Issei Schneider calmed troubled waters and navigated the Department of Corrections on a course of peace and prosperity.

Their collective leadership ushered in a sense of stability but with accountability to boot. The lines of communication, which had been often times strained, were wide open and in the DOC, the LSPD found a kindred spirit with a commitment to ethical standards and rehabilitation of criminals.

While their resignations mark the end of a significant chapter, not just in their personal histories or the history of the San Andreas Department of Corrections, the legacy of their leadership will hopefully endure on and the foundations that they put in place continue to server those working at and inside the prison. Their efforts will not soon be forgotten by those that had the privilege of working with them, including a number of us within the Los Santos Police Department.

On behalf of the Los Santos Police Department, we extend our sincere gratitude to Warden Kourtney LaFleur, Deputy Warden Katie Schneider and Deputy Warden Issei Schneider for their service, dedication and unwavering commitment to maintaining public safety.

We wish all of them the very best of luck in their future endeavors and that they enjoy a peaceful and well earned retirement.
