Officers Clear Troublesome Trunks

Los Santos: On November 15th 2025, the Downtown area of Los Santos grinded to a halt, as a result of a number of several fallen trees blocking the San Andreas Boulevard. The trees were felled by speed limit activists, protesting for a lower speed limit in the citizen after a number of deaths in recent months on San Andreas Boulevard in particular.

Typically, such incidents are the job of the Los Santos Department for Water and Power, but unfortunately due to budgetary restrictions placed upon them by the City Council, they did not respond to the incident. During this time period, several vehicles collided with the fallen trees, which one driver decided as being like they were made of concrete and several Police Officers also fell victim to this, including Assistant Chief Dezzy Bala who collided with the trees while heading to the Pier for some community policing.

Several hours went by and the reports rolled in, so Assistant Chief Dezzy Bala seized the initiative and concocted a plan of action to address this escalating issue. He called for volunteers over the Los Santos Police Department Radio and three brave, public servants, stepped forward to put themselves on the line. These individuals were newly promoted Police Officer II and aspiring SWAT applicant and Field Trainer, Aron Richard, the returning and reinstating Police Officer I Max Finnegan and to complete the line-up of heroes, Reggie Maximin, better know to the locker room as 'Saint', how fitting!

Assistant Chief Dezzy Bala wrote:The efforts of Finnegan, Richard and Maximin should not be understated. The public assumes that so much of our job is pulling people over or banging them up at Mission Row, but when we do work like this, where we're getting our hands in the mud so to speak, it shows a different side to us as a Department and I'm proud of the boys for stepping up when the city needed heroes. I'll be forwarding commendations for all three, for their part in this.
Assistant Chief Bala assembled them in a bus and took them to get their tools from the Vinewood depot, before they hastily made their way to the scene. Upon arriving, they joined a civilian, Bradley Winters, who was working alone to tackle the mess. The officers dismounted the Vetir and sprang heroically into action, cutting down branches, sawing through trunks and also, ensuring the scene was sufficiently secure, to allow for safe passage for drivers.
Police Officer II Aron Richard wrote: Chief Bala gave me another chance in this Department a few months ago and when I knew that he needed help, I did not hesitate. Being able to be pro-active and serve my community is what I have learned throughout my training, I want to be a Field Training Officer to help people understand what this job entails and what it can be, when done right and to help them do it right, like previous FTOs helped me. If that means clocking off duty and picking up a chainsaw, so be it! No day is the same!
Police Officer I Max Finnegan wrote: I've just returned to the Department, after some time away for personal reasons and I've been loving it so far. Every one has been so welcoming, but when you are faced with a situation like this, the LSPD doesn't waste time, we act. It's why I came back to work here and I'm glad I did. I'm glad Chief Bala saw something in me.
Police Officer I Reggie Maximin wrote: I can't lie, when I was asked to do this by Chief Bala, I thought he was joking at first but the moment I saw the situation, I knew I made the right call. I joined the Department to serve my community and if that means putting down barriers and cones on a busy boulevard during rush hour traffic or rescuing a dog then I'm all over it. Appreciate my fellow officers, couldn't have done it without them and thanks to Chief Bala for organising it like he did. Proud to be, LSPD.

Together, the work was completed quickly and a mere five minutes after starting this gargantuan task, the road was safe and clear once again! Thank you to the Officers and the Civilian, Bradley Winters, for stepping in and stepping up to remove this hazard!
