Los Santos: After each month, supervisory personnel of the Los Santos Police Department conduct a thorough review of officer statistics within their divisions and nominate those who have shown significant dedication to the Department based on statistics such as duty hours, individual performances within divisions, administrative efforts, and above all, their embodiment of the values that the Department holds dear.

The title of "Officer of the Month" is distinguished and is awarded to officers who have demonstrated unwavering dedication, outstanding performance, and unrivaled professionalism in the line of duty, and who through their steadfast commitment to the communities and the pursuit of justice, embody the very essence of the core values of the Department, where excellence is not just another word, but the backbone on which our law enforcement philosophy is built.

This month, it is with great honor that we shine a light on, commend, and salute Police Officer II Donnie Kett for his efforts, dedication, and achievements. Officer Kett has been voted Officer of the Month for July 2025.

Officer Kett was nominated by Lieutenant II Charles Williams, who serves as his Commanding Officer within the Rockford Hills Patrol Division. Lieutenant Williams had the following to say about Officer Kett:

Lieutenant II Charles Williams, Commanding Officer, Rockford Hills Patrol Division wrote: Officer Donnie Kett has had another incredible month, somehow improving on the very successful one they had in June. In back-to-back months, Officer Kett has had the most submissions to the government website of every non-supervisor in the department (267), along with the most hours on shift (199.6). His hard work is truly a testament to his character, and on the field, Officer Kett is always more than willing to help out with any task at hand. If this level of commitment continues, I can see a very bright future ahead for Rockford's own, Police Officer II Donnie Kett.

Officer Kett is a relative newcomer to law enforcement and a recent rising star within the Los Santos Police Department, starting his career with the Department on February 28th, 2025, following his graduation from the Los Santos Police Academy and his enrollment in the Department's field training program.

Kett completed and graduated from the field training program on March 30th, which saw his promotion to a full-fledged officer at the rank of Police Officer I, with an assignment to the Rockford Hills Patrol Division. Donnie proceeded to take a brief sabbatical of roughly a month and a half to travel, eventually making his return to the Department at his old rank on May 26th, 2025.

Upon his return, Officer Kett continued his service assigned to the Rockford Hills Patrol Division, the division he was previously assigned to, and in which he advanced to Police Officer II. Throughout his time and career with the Department, he has continued to explore divisional options within the Department, taking part in the traffic division, detective support, firearms licensing, and starting his journey as a training officer.

Today, Officer Kett continues to serve as a patrol officer assigned to the Rockford Hills Patrol Division.

The Department finds it important to acknowledge the tireless efforts and unwavering dedication of our officers amidst their daily challenges and responsibilities.

Please join us in congratulating Officer Donnie Kett on this prestigious award. We look forward to his continued success with the Los Santos Police Department.
