LSPD Hosts Walk-in Firearms Licensing Event (NR067-25lmef)

Los Santos: On July 19th, the Los Santos Police Department's Firearms Licensing Division collaborated with Celestial Armory to host a walk-in firearms licensing event. The event allowed civilians to utilize the gun range with a selection of pistols and pump shotguns. LSPD firearms officers set up booths allowing multiple points of contact and assistance with issuing firearms licenses.
The event has been considered a significant success, with twenty firearms licenses approved and issued in person, along with an additional ten applications submitted on the spot with the assistance of the firearms officers. Other attendees were assisted with their general questions and guidance pertaining to the legal ownership of firearms.
The Media Relations Division reached out to the Commanding Officer, Firearms Licensing Division, Detective Molloy, who played a pivotal part in seeing the realization of this walk-in event. Detective Molloy provided the following quote:
We would like to thank all officers in attendance, both firearms officers and supporting personnel, as well as the supervisors who ensured the licenses were issued. We also appreciate Celestial Armory and all citizens who attended.

I want to especially thank my colleagues from the department for their support in making this event a reality. It's the first time the Firearms Licensing Division has hosted something like this, and I’m proud to say it’s been a great success. We had strong participation, and it was fantastic to see people enjoying both the shotgun and pistol ranges. More importantly, many attendees took the opportunity to ask questions—often ones they might hesitate to ask it on the government website—which made the event even more worthwhile. We look forward to doing more of this in the future."
