2. REQUEST INFORMATION
  • Detailed information of your request:
    • Please give a comment on the situation that happened at the SASG Summer Event between LSPD officers and SADOC employee Eoghan Sterling as detailed here.

Can you confirm or clarify the following claims that were made on-scene if they are true or not, or clarify what is:
      • Sterling shut the SADOC gate on the LSPD officers.
      • Sterling sped through the city with lights and/or sirens on to the event. (There was also mention of him climbing a mountain with it?)
It appears no arrest was made so how did it go between SADOC Wardens and LSPD?

I would very much like to update my post with any factual information from your side.

"TO PROTECT AND SERVE"

  • Re: Request for Comment [#CobbBlog]

    Mr Cobb,

Many thanks for taking the time to submit an inquiry to the Los Santos Police Department.

Regarding the actions taken by the SADOC employee, it is not our place to comment on such actions and not our place either to comment on their policy or potential breaches of such policy. The Los Santos Police Department is engaging with the Department of Corrections Internal Affairs regarding your first point.

Regarding your second point, it is again not our place to comment on the actions of an employee of another department in relation to potential policy breaches. An arrest did not take place as it was determined that laws were not breached, but potential departmental policy may have been. As such, SADOC's Wardens LaFleur and Jemima were called to assist and they investigated the potential misconduct.

The Los Santos Police Department's officers were acting in good faith throughout the incident on the 26th of July ensuring the safety of all individuals at the event and throughout the state. I apologise for not being able to give you any more information, however I recommend reaching out to the SADOC for comment.

  • Kind Regards,
