Letter From the Governor

Emily Whitehorse wrote:As we put another month behind us, we transition fully from the late spring into early summer. The San Andreas State Government saw the past month unprecedented growth, with many new faces that will be spotlight in this newsletter. I welcome each of them to the State Government and look forward to building towards a strong Government.
This month saw the start of the Official SASG Gov Grand Prix, and amazing multiple day bracket based racing event to see who will be crowned the best F1 racer in all of San Andreas. I got to witness the first day of the event and was excited to see just how many people where in attendance. If you haven't gotten the chance to check it out, I encourage everyone to stop by and be in the stands as the cars go flying by.
This last month also saw us celebrate Pride Month, initiated with a Proclamation from my Office and drafted with the support of two wonderful members of the Community. We also saw a number of festivities including a wonderful showstopper of a parade that our amazing Public Relations team got to be involved in to cap off our states resolute support for members of our LGBTQ community. I am also appreciative of the numerous departments that put a focus on pride with either pride themed shirts or fleet vehicles. I hope that with Pride Month coming to an end, we continue to see organizations supporting Pride and committing to continued support of the queer community.
Looking ahead, with the long hot summers weather, I hope to see everyone getting out more and attending the numerous public events that will be happening this month. The 4th of July is just around the corner, and I hope to see everyone in independence day outfits as well as hosting a number of independence day festivities! Likewise, I look forward to celebrating with all citizens born north of the border this upcoming Canada Day on July 1st. As someone born in the prairies of Canada, I look forward to celebrating both dates as a show of support for our long lasting relationships as nation states.

Celebrates Pride: Marching for Visibility, Equality, and Joy
Los Santos — This Pride Month, San Andreas State Government is proud to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community by participating in the Pride Parade on 20th June 2025. As we join everyone in celebrating love, identity, and resilience, we recognize that
Pride is more than a parade—it is a powerful movement for visibility, inclusion, and equal rights.
Our participation in Pride reflects our deep commitment to creating spaces where everyone feels safe, seen, and celebrated. We honor the rich history of LGBTQIA+ activism and recognize the work still ahead to ensure equity and belonging for all.
We celebrated with our yearly Pride Parade. This year, we saw some amazing prizes donated by sponsors and partners:
Benny's • LSSD • LSPD • San Andreas State Government • DCC • SADOC • Plague Inc • Los Santos EMS • Vanguard • Redline • Bayview Auto Center • San Andreas Judicial Branch • Lewis Langley and Out of Towners • Assured Services • Los Santos Motorcycle Club.
The after-party was run by Plague Inc., where there was food, drinks, live music, and fun to be had by all.

Events like this always bring the community together and show a united front.
“We march with pride, love, and power—because being who you are should never be an act of bravery, but a celebration of joy. Today, we stand for visibility. For equality. For freedom. For every story told and still unfolding. Love wins when we lift each other up.”

Gov Grand Prix! 🏁
Gov Grand Prix Off to a Flying Start! 🏁
After a few thrilling trial runs, the engines roared to life on the 21st of June as we officially launched the Gov Grand Prix in partnership with Redline Motorsports, and it went off without a hitch! The competition was as fierce as the Monaco hairpin, and thankfully, there were no “Senna-Prost” moments just yet… but hey, there’s plenty of time for a bit of wheel-banging action down the line!
The inaugural layout was none other than the LSIA Track, featuring 15 tricky corners that really put our drivers’ skill and nerve to the test. It’s still early days, but at the top of the standings, we have Joseph Takahashi, followed by Liam Loyd, and Kelson Mathers sitting pretty on 15 points each. With racing this close, it feels like watching the last lap of Abu Dhabi 2021 every week! Of course, this is all subject to change.
The excitement is just getting started with three different layouts across the championship. Make sure you keep up to date with all the latest results and rivalries on our Lifeinvader page or better yet, come along and experience the speed, the sound, and the spectacle yourself.
A big thank you goes out to Ren and Olive for their incredible work setting this event up, SAAA for the spectacular helicopter views, and Shawn and Emma for capturing all those podium-worthy pictures. And of course, a heartfelt thanks to our partners at Redline Motorsports.

This is just the opening chapter of a racing saga that promises wheel-to-wheel battles, last-gasp overtakes, and maybe the odd crash or two. So buckle up, stay tuned, and we’ll see you at the next green light!
Celebrating Pride Month and Amplifying Every Voice

This June, as part of Pride Month, we’ve been spotlighting members of the LGBTQ+ community on LifeInvader. 🌟 We believe it’s incredibly important to hear all the stories of what Pride means to each person and to help educate others so we can make everyone feel accepted and celebrated in Los Santos.
Here’s one we created, and you can check them all out on our Lifeinvader page

This is part of our ongoing commitment to creating a city where everyone feels they belong, and it’s just one of the many ways we strive to build a more inclusive future for all.
And there’s more to come! We recently announced a proclamation officially proclaiming the month of June as Pride Month in Los Santos. 🏳️⚧️ You can read it here: 📜
Let’s continue to stand together and make Los Santos a place where every voice is heard and every person feels celebrated. ✨🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
📣 Welcoming Emma Onizuka to the Public Relations Bureau
She had this to say about joining:

I’m incredibly proud to be joining the San Andreas State Government as a Public Relations Intern. It truly feels like this moment has been a long time coming, and stepping into this role is both exciting and meaningful for me. I’m eager to get started, contribute to the incredible work being done, and see just how much I can grow and achieve alongside such a dedicated team.
If you happen to see Emma around, be sure to give her a warm welcome to the team!
Moving into July
Stepping into July with Excitement☀️🏖️

As we move into sunny July, the State Government is thrilled to embrace the summer season with new opportunities and experiences for all.
Our recently opened pop-up shops at Del Perro Pier have already brought a fresh buzz to the waterfront, arriving just in time for fishing season. Whether you’re picking up some local gear, grabbing a tasty bite, or simply enjoying the ocean breeze, these shops add a vibrant touch to one of San Andreas’ most beloved spots.
We’re also eagerly looking ahead to the outcome of the Gov Grand Prix—a spectacular event that reflects our community’s competitive spirit and passion for sport.
June has been a month full of learning and growth, and we are excited to take those lessons with us into the heart of summer. Throughout July and beyond, we remain committed to listening, learning, and making sure every voice shapes the future of our great state.
