Introduction of Approved Drift Areas
- In an effort to support drift culture while ensuring public safety, the San Andreas State Government has officially designated a number of locations as approved drift areas for sanctioned public and private events. This initiative is being implemented in collaboration with the Department of Legal Services and the Business and Property Bureau aims to provide safe, legal venues for drifting activities within the state.
This initiative was brought forward by a citizen of our great state Kim Taek. His love for the drifting community, the public and the law brought him to partnering with the government in order to be able to continue promoting drifting as a fun legal event.
Effective immediately, the following locations are recognized as approved drift zones during scheduled events that meet legal and regulatory criteria:
Top Two Floors of Red ParkingAssured Underground Parking (with approval of use from Assured Services)Spoiler
Tackle Street - Downtown Drift ClubSpoiler
Garbage RoadSpoiler

Requirements & Additional Restrictions
- These sites were carefully selected based on their typically low traffic volume during most hours, making them ideal for controlled drifting activities. The use of these areas will help reduce potential safety risks associated with holding such events in higher-traffic zones.
To qualify for use of the designated areas, event organizers must possess a valid event license and ensure the event is either publicly advertised or documented as a private function. All private events must receive prior approval from the Business and Property Bureau to ensure proper licenses. In the case of Tackle Street & Garbage Road a request must be put in with the LSPD and TED for appropriate road closure.
For more information on obtaining an event license or scheduling a private event, please contact the Business and Property Bureau, you may also reach out directly to Ren Sanchez and Anthony Mercer via email for information on this proposal.
