Roleplay Feedback

1. What's your player name? Phil Russo
2. Do you know any names of LSSD members involved in your situation? N/A. If need be, you can check my charges on 22/APR.
3. When did this situation occur? 22/APR/2025 - 22:34 hours

4. Can you list down at least three good or bad things from our side in this situation?
  1. Good - SD when conducting the arrest, did not respond to heavily and allowed me to run if I wanted to.
  2. Bad - SD responded to heavily in my opinion with the number of backup units on scene. 5 units for a misdemeanor arrest? See below for details.
  3. Nothing else noted. This is a simple situation and complaint.
5. Can you list down at least three good or bad things from your side in this situation?
  1. Good - I guess provided RP to SD?
  2. Nothing else noted. This is a simple situation and complaint. I am open to feedback from my side of course.
  3. N/A
6. Can you provide an accurate description of the events that unfolded? (add any footage you may have to back any claims up)
The Situation:
I was bored and driving around Sandy, and I wound up near Fort Zancudo. So I decided to drive in Fort Zancudo and explore it, to see if anything was new. A SD deputy spotted me inside the base, and pulled me over. The deputy informed me that I was going to be arrested for trespassing the base. I resisted and fled in my car, then got arrested.
The Reason for the Complaint:
The reason for the complaint is simple. In this situation, my opinion is that SD responded way to heavily with too many units, for the situation. I was informed I was getting arrested for trespassing, a misdemeanor. The deputy asked for backup before he took any action in arresting me. During this situation there was not two units, not three units, not four units, there was five total units that responded to a simple misdemeanor arrest. In my opinion this is way too many units for the situation. I was not arguing with deputy icly, my character never shot at cops, I was the only person in the area, and I was not fleeing (the backups units were all on scene before I started to flee). I just don't see the need for 5 units during this situation. I have footage, but it is not necessary. You can simply see the below picture to verify my complaint.

Other:
For full disclosure, I have been on the server for a long time. So, I guess I know a thing or two. I have been a part of both crim rp and LEO rp. I was in "PD" for about 3.5 years. I was in PD from 2020-2023. Now from 2023-present I focus on crim rp. As an LEO, I would have never asked for this many units for a misdemeanor arrest. I know the deputy probably did not ask for 5 units, however he could have sent some units away once the deputy saw the number of units on scene. I was debating on putting the next couple of sentences in this report, but I will leave it. I dont care about getting the arrested and taking the L, as LEO's like to state. But this scene just screams that LEO's always need to take the W in anything. The crims have to have some W's. In my opinion, police overresponding is NOT the main reason, but it is one of the reasons why the server is on life support right now.

7. What would you have done differently from both the perspective of SD and your own?
From SD:
As stated above, if I was the deputy I would have handled the situation with one or two units. If more units showed up, I would have told them the backup is not needed.
From Me:
I am not sure what else I would have done different on my end. This is a pretty simply situation.

8. What are you hoping to accomplish by sending this feedback to us?
SD respond to a situation with the appropriate number of units. A bank robbery, send all of SD. Two gangs are fighting each other with heavy weapons, sure send the whole state. But if there is a small situation like a compliant misdemeanor arrest, that could be solved with one or two units. Especially since they had my ID, before he asked for backup.

    Hi Phil,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I appreciate the detail you provided and your long history with both LEO and criminal roleplay on the server.

Regarding the situation on April 22nd, I understand your concern about the number of units that responded. While it may have seemed like an overreaction for a misdemeanor charge, our response decisions are based on several dynamic factors. These include who is involved, what has happened previously, the nature of the location, which unit is conducting the stop, and the broader in-character dynamics. Part of that dynamic includes the character you play, the gang you are affiliated with, and the reputation or history that gang has within the server. These elements can naturally impact how law enforcement (PD/SD) reacts to certain situations, even if the immediate charge seems minor.

In this case, there was no intention to overwhelm or force a win. If that had been the approach, you would have seen tactics like blocking exits, pre-emptively spiking routes, or just seen an immediate "hard stop" with vehicles blocking you in before you could leave. Instead, the scene unfolded without those measures, and the situation was allowed to play out naturally, and you were able to evade despite the amount of units in the initial traffic stop (although, unfortunately, not very successfully from what I read in the report).

Our supervisors do have internal guidelines and frequently instruct deputies to leave scenes if their presence is unnecessary, because we want the roleplay to be engaging and fair for everyone. But I agree that this is not always carried out in the best possible way, and improvements can always be made.

We hear your feedback and will continue to reinforce the importance of balanced responses with our deputies and supervisors. I will bring this up in our next Supervisor Meeting and move from there.

Thanks again for raising your concerns respectfully.
