Los Santos: The City of Los Santos and the State of San Andreas have seen and experienced a significant surge in traffic of heavy vehicles, with a recent boom in the economy caused by the resuscitation of the transport organization and truck drivers, offering many jobs to those willing to spend hours on the road in heavy-duty vehicles.
To ensure that everyone remains as safe as possible with the increase in truck traffic, which in turn has seen an increase of individuals recklessly operating these heavy-duty vehicles, it is important that all individuals operating these vehicles are lawfully permitted to do so, which means they are required to possess a trucker's license within the State of San Andreas.
Operating a truck without a valid trucker's license is illegal in the State of San Andreas and will lead to prosecution on criminal charges of VM01 - Operating a Vehicle without a Valid License. It is important to note that even if an employer is not thorough in their background checks and ensuring their drivers operate their vehicles legally and lawfully, it is your responsibility as a driver to ensure you are in possession of a valid trucker's license.

Drivers of these trucks are further responsible for ensuring they operate their trucks and heavy-duty vehicles sensibly, safely, and in accordance with the traffic laws established within the State. A number of truck drivers have been witnessed operating their trucks and heavy-duty vehicles in a reckless and unsafe manner, including but not limited to aggressive driving.
Aggressive driving that includes ramming vehicles or pedestrians may result in serious charges, including:
The severity of an incident wherein a truck driver has been found to have intentionally rammed other vehicles or pedestrians will determine whether or not law enforcement or prosecution may press further criminal charges, such as but not limited to assault with a deadly weapon or vehicular manslaughter.
The Los Santos Police Department continues to monitor trucking violations and will continue to make strides to increase public safety and awareness.
