Los Santos: The Los Santos Police Department is proud to announce it's latest endeavour in the establishment of the Metropolitan Division's Space Force Platoon (S Platoon), a Platoon developed to spearhead stratospheric and interplanetary crime.
The space-bound unit offers many opportunities for career development as it is comprised of 1 Lieutenant, 1 Sergeant, and 10 Police Officers who will be tasked with engaging extra-terrestrial violence posing a threat to our home planet, Earth.
Receiving generous funding from the United States Government as part of it's Space Program grant, S Platoon is equipped with 20 flight-suits fitted with armor plating, 1 primary rocket ship to facilitate escaping the stratosphere, and 2 battle-ready shuttles to facilitate space-patrols and hostile engagements.
The Department's Commanding Officer of the Metropolitan Division, Police Commander Gareth Longford, has been tasked with collaborating with STD Contractors to construct a state-of-the-art base of operations for the training and deployment of S Platoon, the location of which shall not be disclosed to the public for the purpose of security and safety.
With personnel currently undergoing training, they will complete an 8 month course before being deployed into Space. Although the facility has not been officially named at the time of posting, it has been loosely dubbed, "Earth-base Langley", after the former Governor and Space Cadet, Lewis Langley.
The primary responsibilities of S Platoon and the Officers assigned to it shall consist of the following:
The Space Force Platoon will have a dedicated dispatch service to organize all incoming and outgoing calls. As part of the United States Government's employment initiative, S Platoon is currently providing 2,000 jobs to United States Citizens, with a further 1,000 projected to be created by the year 2032.

- Defense - The Space Force Platoon will enforce stratospheric and interplanetary security throughout the Solar System to ensure the safety of Earth's inhabitants.
- Space Law Enforcement - Working with the United Nations, the United States Government are developing toward the establishment of the Solar Penal Code, a penal code similar to our very own although further applicable to the Solar System. S Platoon are tasked with patrolling the Solar System and responding to distress calls, enforcing the Solar Penal Code with accuracy.
- Rescue Missions - S Platoon will be at the forefront of providing a rescue service to any and all souls who may find themselves adrift in the cold and dark of space. Continue reading for contact details.
