Los Santos: On March 22nd, 2025, an LSPD officer observed a yellow Faggio Sport moped weaving between lanes and driving into oncoming traffic. Believing the driver to be impaired, the officer initiated a traffic stop. The individual identified themselves, but was unable to identify the registered owner of the vehicle and gave vague responses about having permission to drive it.
While the officer attempted to verify the vehicle's ownership, the driver was overheard using a radio device to request help in escaping from the traffic stop. Moments later, a pink Elegy arrived on scene. The driver dismounted the Faggio and jumped into the trunk of the vehicle.
A pursuit followed and ultimately ended with officers apprehending both the original male suspect and the front-seat female passenger of the Elegy. Upon being released from the trunk, the male suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly detained.
During the ensuing investigation, the male suspect claimed he had been kidnapped and did not know the other party involved. However, based on radio communications overheard during the traffic stop and subsequent statements made under Miranda, officers determined the statement was false, resulting in an additional charge for providing misleading information to law enforcement.
The male suspect showed clear signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and poor balance. He consented to a breathalyzer test, which registered a blood alcohol content of 4.08, far exceeding the legal limit.
As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with:
If you’ve had alcohol, find a safe ride home. Don’t risk lives—yours or others'.
