Los Santos: On March 10th, investigators of the Los Santos Police Department's Detective Bureau executed a search warrant on a Rockford Hills apartment, resulting in the largest documented raid conducted by the Department of the year yet.
As a result of an extensive investigation conducted by Detective Zero Hunter following a bank robbery in Chumash wherein Detective Hunter was able to utilize forensic and surveillance evidence to connect a specific suspect to a crime, the detective identified an apartment owned and operated by the suspect and was able to get a search warrant signed.
Assisted by a tactical element of the Metropolitan Division's D Platoon, also known as SWAT, investigators made forced entry into an apartment following the signing of a search warrant by the San Andreas Judicial Branch and seized upwards of approximately $5 million worth of contraband, consisting of illegal firearms, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and narcotics.
While the raid took place, an armed suspect attempted to obstruct the operation and opened fire on police, critically injuring a SWAT officer. Officers incapacitated the threat swiftly and ensured that the injured officer was provided with medical treatment immediately. The officer was later taken to the hospital and made a full recovery.
