My name is Ethan Jacobs, and ever since I was a boy, i was surrounded by drugs and crime. Growing up in that kind of environment was anything but easy. My parents were caught up in that life, and no matter how much I wanted to escape it, I evenutally fell into the same trap. As I got older, I became deeply involved in crime, making choices I now regret. But I refuse to let my past define me. Now, as an adult, I want to make things right. My goal in life is to help others avoid the same mistakes I made and guide them toward a better path and I’m determined to turn my past into something meaningful. Even though I know it will be difficult, I want to do what I believe to be best, and if joining SADOC is the way to go, then lead me to help people.

2.2 Why do you want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections, and why should we hire you over other applicants? (minimum 75 words)
I want to join the San Andreas Department of Corrections because I believe people can change, and I want to be part of that process. Growing up, I saw how easy it was to take the wrong path, and I made my own mistakes along the way. But I turned my life around, and now I want to help others do the same. You should hire me because I understand what these inmates are going through. I can connect with them on a real level and guide them toward better choices. I’m committed to making a difference, not just keeping order but actually helping people rebuild there lives and find a way forward.

2.3 If you are an ex-felon, what have you learned and changed about yourself since being charged with a felony or misdemeanor (minimum 50 words)?
From all of the charges that have been placed on me since I flew into the city for the first time, every charge has been a lesson. I've learned right from wrong the difficult way and it has opened up my eyes into a new sight of life, thanks to a SADOC officer. I feel I can make a change in my life and other's lives. Nobody wants to end up in a correctional institute, so why not make their time meaningful and help them also learn right from wrong?
