- 3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch? (200 word minimum)
- I am seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch for several reasons. Primarily, my passion for upholding justice and ensuring that every citizen receives their constitutional right to representation, drives my ambition for a role as important as an Attorney. I have always been incredibly passionate about helping people in a time of crisis, and I understand that being involved in court processes can be confusing as well as incredibly overwhelming. Because of this, I wish to assist, calm and guide citizens of this great State through the overwhelming process of the courtroom.
Secondly, during my life I have always shown a deep, special interest in the judicial system. I love nothing more than to come home from work, load up my laptop and research laws, the constitution, court rulings and other legal practices. While I have never been an attorney myself, the thought of being the subject matter expert to guide people through the process is exhilarating. I have always envisioned myself standing in a courtroom, representing a client and making a difference in the lives of others.
Finally, when I was a young boy my father was taken away by the police for very serious charges and it was because of my father's attorney who showed unwavering commitment to his role that my father walked away as a free man. This has shown me the importance of the role of an attorney, not just in the courtroom, but in the lives of people they represent. It is very important to me that I make a difference in this role, and I will always strive to do so.
- My name is Jaz Owens and I was born in the United Kingdom in November of 1990. I was born into a family full of ex-convicts and family members who are still in prison today. I had a fairly normal childhood, besides the fact that my parents were always in and out of prison. I was raised by my grandmother, who cared for me until she passed away in my later adult life.
I was always an average student in school and I never had many friends. However, I was always the person that got along with everyone, regardless of their background or status.
I studied Music Performance at university and graduated with a degree in Music and Performing Arts. I worked in a small-town music studio in Suffolk, England, where I honed my abilities as a producer. During my time at this studio, I worked with youth from impoverished backgrounds, providing support and acting as a mentor. This experience was invaluable and provided me with many interpersonal skills as well as the ability to relate to people from all kinds of backgrounds.
After a few years working at the studio in Suffolk, I was approached by a recruiter who was looking for a Studio Manager in Texas. I was very surprised that the recruiter approached me specifically, so I immediately accepted and began planning my new life abroad. It wasn't an easy journey to move my entire life to another country, but I made the journey and worked at this studio for five years as a manager. In this role I dealt with employment law, contracts, negotiations, and other managerial duties. I feel as if this gave me a good insight into working with people who were seeking certain rewards or benefits from meetings or contracts, which I feel could assist me in a role as an attorney.
After working as a Studio Manager for 5 years, I saw a job flier for a Corrections Officer in the State of San Andreas. I had never considered a move in career like this before, though I did have a passion for the law. I sat on this opportunity for a few months before I decided to make the move to San Andreas, after some contractual issues with my company.
I then moved to San Andreas and joined the Department of Corrections as a Correctional Cadet. I went through a rigorous and tough training program that taught me to be more outspoken and a more assertive person. I dealt with many situations where inmates would riot, conceal items in their cells, make threats, and become violent, but I learned to deal with this as calmly as possible.
After my time at the Department of Corrections, I moved back to the United Kingdom due to my grandmother passing away. I stayed in the United Kingdom for a few years before I decided to make my move back to San Andreas to pursue a career in law.
- "Human".
I feel as if the word "Human" describes me best for a number of reasons. Firstly, I am not perfect - I make mistakes, as every human being does. I truly adopt the phrase, "I am only human," because I believe in imperfection being the only true measure of a person. If someone can admit their flaws and imperfections, they are truly grounded and the kind of people I enjoy being around. Secondly, I love to connect with people on a personal level and really delve into what makes humans, human. I am very easy to get along with and I like to keep a smile on everybody's face regardless of the situation.
- I found out about this position by browsing for jobs under the Judicial Branch of this website.

- I can absolutely confirm this. Though I'd be flattered at the accusation ;)
- Yes. I have done plenty of Judicial / Gov roleplay in the past. I have just recently resigned from my post as State Commissioner (Same as Governor position) of the Executive Branch on another server, after serving as Chief of Police for a faction of about 80-100 (fluctuated during my term).
