While on duty, you notice your colleague making sexual comments towards a female civilian. What would you do after just witnessing the situation?
Id ask the female civilian if she was alright, if she needed any immediate help, and id mention it to the first person that id be instructed to, but I also I imagine It would also heavily depend on the civilians response because what if the female civilian is the collegues girl or boy friend
A disgruntled individual confronts you aggressively at City Hall. How would you use de-escalation techniques to calm the situation without resorting to physical force?
I would speak to the individual and speak to him in a very understanding tone, asking him to breath and relax, and id reassure him that I absolute understand where they were coming from, even if I didn't really - It's all about just facilitating a state of safety and control by relaying empathy with the individual.
While on duty at City Hall, you receive an alert about an armed individual threatening a government official. What immediate actions would you take to neutralize the threat and ensure the safety of all individuals involved?
I imagine my first reponse would be to alert local law enforcement before approaching the situation, so Id call into PD to ask for assistance, after that, My primary goal would be to begin help - So if I'm by myself, My immediate response is to approach the 10-15, withdarw my firearm, and command to drop it, but thats literally my cop response, I'm not sure if things are different for you guys
A large protest is happening outside the City Hall, and tensions are high. How would you approach the situation to maintain order while respecting the rights of the protestors?

I felt the interview went very well. I chose to skip a few questions due to his prior experience with PD, as he demonstrated a strong understanding in those areas. Lou appears to be a valuable asset who would enhance our team. His personality and professional demeanor seem like a great fit. I strongly recommend advancing his application to an employment offer.
