INCIDENT DETAILS
- Date of Arrest: 2024-10-09
Deputies Involved: Investigator I James Valor, Deputy Sheriff Trainee Nylah Quinn
Provide details of the incident leading up to the arrest
- On the evening of October 9th, 2024; Mr. Justice Hawk ran up to Investigator I Valor's cruiser and kicked it before then attacking Investigator I Valor & Deputy Sheriff Trainee Nylah Quinn. The suspect then proceeded to run from the units, running through a series of back yards before being tased and apprehended. The suspect was non-compliant, refusing to put his hands up, and then another individual ran up, hit him with a bat and ran off, unfortunately we did not have the 10-8 units available to pursue him so we stayed on scene and treated our original suspect. -- Mr. Hawk had been attacking people and hitting cruisers at Bayview the entire day, he had been ignored because he was considered not worth the time originally. The suspect claimed that people at Bayview were hitting him and thats why he attacked units because they "weren't doing anything about it". The suspect was treated by MD, transported and brought to DOC without incident.
The suspect was very insistent on IA reporting us, so you'll find the bodycam footage attached below ((Bodycam RP))

ISSUANCE OF VERDICT
IN THE SUPERIOR COURT OF SAN ANDREAS
State of San Andreas v. Justice Hawk
#24-CM-0075
A decision was reached in the above case on the 11th day of November, 2024.
The case today reviews the events that occurred on the 9th of October, 2024. The Prosecution presented evidence that showed the defendant kicking the car and seeming to attack deputies on scene. The defendant in the bodycam footage then proceeded to run away from pursuing officers. Eventually he was apprehended bringing us to the courtroom today.
The court agrees with the prosecution in their assessment of charges and finds that the singular charge of GM10 - Failure to Comply / Identify overlaps with the charge of GM04 - Resisting Arrest. The evidence does not conclusively show two separate instances of resistance or failure to comply, but one singular instance for two charges. The court does find this to be an example of charge stacking and therefore cannot hold the defendant guilty of both charges.
It is with the above considerations that I issue the following verdict:
- On the count of GM02 - Battery of a Gov. employee, I find the defendant, Justice Hawk, guilty.
- On the count of GM04 - Resisting Arrest, I find the defendant, Justice Hawk, guilty.
- On the count of GM08 - Vandalism of a Gov. employee, I find the defendant, Justice Hawk, guilty.
- On the count of GM10 - Failure to Comply / Identify, I find the defendant, Justice Hawk, not guilty.
The defendant is instructed to make their way to City Hall at their earliest convenience to receive $5,000 for time served and fines paid.
