Los Santos: The Los Santos Police Department, at the beginning of October, rolled out a variety of pink-highlighted patrol vehicles through the motor transport division and made them available to all Department personnel.

"Hopefully, there won't be many offenders, but we'll at least have pink-tinted patrol cars enforcing traffic laws during October, making motorists look twice while also serving to help raise awareness about breast cancer and encourage women to have regular screenings", said Chief Elena Flores.

For the first time, the Department has taken a plethora of its patrol vehicles and covered it in a pink highlight, reinforcing a commitment of providing powerful reminders and contributions to the annual worldwide campaign of promoting regular screening and early detection of breast cancer, a disease that, according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, one in eight women will develop in their lifetime, as the most common cancer among American women.

These vehicles may further make special appearances at city events throughout the month.

Besides the customized vehicles, the Department has also debuted a special pink social media icon, an adjusted Department seal, designed by Assistant Chief Bala, and will be hosting an event with the Traffic Enforcement Division to raise funds for charity and to go towards cancer research. More information in relation to the event will be disclosed in a later release in a separate release.

Breast cancer is treatable, but early detection is key in doing so; the Los Santos Police Department encourages all to join the fight to find a cure by getting educated, spreading awareness, and staying up-to-date on your mammograms.
