3.1) Why are you seeking employment with the San Andreas Judicial Branch? (200 word minimum)
- I came to this city to escape from a relationship where the law and court system provided no protection against my aggressor. My drive to be a lawyer, and possibly a judge in the future, are driven by personal experiences and motivations. There are not enough prosecutors and judges for the amount of crime that occurs within the city with the influx of people wanting to relocate for better opportunities. I am wanting to change the laws to be able to better protect victims of domestic violence, subjugation, trafficking, child abuse, elderly abuse, and more. I think that San Andreas needs more prosecutors to be able to actively handle the case load and assist the police in being able to effectively uphold the law. I am hoping that by working within the judicial system as a student, I will be able to gain valuable insights into the workings of the San Andreas court system and how the process works from beginning to end of a trial. The best experience that I could gain to be a prosecutor will be from within the system I am wanting to work for. San Andreas needs people wanting to maintain law and order and work with the investigators to bring justice to those that need it and seek protection from aggressors.

- I moved here from another large city close to where I was born. Within the large cities, the police, courts, and legal system as a whole are overrun and understaffed. This creates holes where victims of crimes can fall through and their aggressor is never brought in front of a judge. And sometimes, even if they are able to be in front of a judge, they are given a slight sentence which does not deter them from repeating the same crime. By having the experience first hand of being someone that the law should have helped to protect, but couldn't, I feel that I would be able to bring a sense of dedication and compassion to others that may be affected by violence. I have a strong sense of justice and strive to be able to change my surroundings for the better. I have a lot of personal experience with the law and court system and would like to be able to use that here to be able to help victims gain a sense of safety and peace knowing that they will not be failed by the system set up to protect them.

- The one word that I would say describes me best is compassionate. With the personal experiences of romantic relationships ending tumultuously and being afraid when the law is not exercised to its fullest. I have compassion and understanding that others who have never experienced abuse or violence cannot comprehend. Being able to sympathize and feel the pain of a victim is something that is necessary to be able to provide them with a sense of comfort and safety.
3.4) How did you hear about this position?
- I originally came to the city to become a lawyer and work within the justice system to benefit victims of domestic violence, trafficking, and other forms of violence that can be under prosecuted due to lack of available prosecutors. I was able to meet a few people who also have applied to law school and they were able to direct me to where to apply.
